Foreword: I would like to apologise for the nuisance my presence on the forums has been. Dumb as it may sound, I was not aware of exactly how annoying my behaviour has been. I see my mistakes and wish to learn from them. Thank you Kimberly for being kind enough to point them out, allowing me to do so.

Hi ~

I definitely learned my lesson the hard way. I spent the last couple of days contemplating on the situation, and whether or not I would like to continue playing MapleLegends at all/make a thread like this.

The journey: contrary to my prior threads, all progress logged here will be definitive and never erased or edited. I will simply document my journey through MapleLegends as it comes, in its most organic form. Whether that is playing one character or not, time will tell.

My playstyle: I do wish to HP wash, but probably will not be going through the AM/bishop and leeching approach. Simply because I don't enjoy the process of leeching myself.

To those who are still interested in following my journey through this game in a new, constructive way; thank you very much for the continued support .

Hi ~

Didn't play for that long today but started my new character. Its a newbie archer and we'll just see what it becomes C:. Taking a lot more of a chill approach.

In game:
Meet our new protagonist: poop


Poop is actually my IRL nickname (my friends and family call me this always) but it is pronounced like 'Pope' in Dutch. So its not as weird as calling someone a doo doo. But still kinda because you write it the same way.

- did a bunch of newbie quests
- sold fame for 100k
- bought 7 bow 60%s for 70k total and scrolled my lvl 10 bow


I'm aiming for around 160 base int, we'll try to be MP washing as much as possible.
Anyway I didn't make that much progress, thats it for now .

So I basically did a whole bunch of questing.

In game:
- sold fame, they gave me 300k C:
- 100% dex scrolled a male bathrobe
- got two reg gach tickets



Really unlucky on the gach LOL. I only got two tickets and then those scrolls f4. Oh well ~

Hi ~

Can you tell I've not been studying and instead procrastinating and mapling for way tooo long? Yeah.... I dunno uwu

In game:
Did a bunch of questing, lets get into the bulletpoints
- Got 4 gach tickets:





- Bought 5 cape dex 60%s and landed 4 on the quest cloak thingie


- Bought 3 dex 8 att marker for 2.5m


- Spent too much money scrolling shoes with this as the final result LOL. Oh well.


- Bought 20 overall dex 10%s for 250~300k ea, failed ALL of them. Oopsie.

I need to stop spending money on scrolls. Yeah. I've never been much of a gambler but apparently MapleLegends made me one :^).

Then something happened.
As I got to lvl 41 and completed all the good scroll quests, I felt like I was really missing the brawler I previously had. So I'll be remaking poop into a brawler.
BUT: As promised, no more remakes of the thread/edits of its contents. This will remain here.
In light of that, I decided there was also no point anymore deleting my items. So we are going to be starting the little pirate with the gear above. Maybe that'll help me break the cycle, who knows.
Do note, there is always the option (if my cycloid motion really cannot be tamed) of just having two characters. We'll see. As I said, organically or some shit.

Anyway, if this does become Floris' thousand restarts journal, at least I'll get super rich off of all the scroll quests :^).

Hi ~

Meet our new adventurer; hot, fresh and still stinkin':


In game:
- Did the job adv quests.
- This random person actually dropped 43 1h sword att 10%s, I ended up just scrolling lvl 10 swords and got 3 on which a scroll passed. Then all 3 passed a scroll again. All other swords failed, was kinda strange.
- Proceeded to 60%, only 1 worked LOL. RNG was pulling some weird tricks on me.

(it was mostly just for fun and because I was too lazy to sell all these scrolls)

Also: can confirm this is a lot more doable with some items. Makes life just a tad bit more manageable (hitting 15's instead of 1~5s is a major difference in the time it takes to kill a mob xD).

Next goals:
- pace myself and just have fun with it
- get to lvl 30 :3
- become a brawling doo doo

IRL:
Did MAJOR cleaning/decluttering of my appartment. I tend to forget how amazing Marie Kondo's method is and that I should take a full day now and then just to reorganise my stuff in order to keep things organised. I hadn't done this yet since I moved into my new place in July and it became a hot mess. Particularly the 'every object has its own home concept' is amazing because without thinking I tend to put things back where they belong. Anyway that made my day very happy. Not entirely finished yet though

Hi ~

So I really got trolled by rare gacha tickets today LOL. I always get super excited when I get them but then this time around, well you'll see ~

in game:
- Bunch of vic island questing, now about to start Ariant
- Got 3 reg and 2 rare gach tickets
First reg ticket was a 1 int red marker, forgot to SS.


What would be the odds of getting the same bow 70% shitty scroll twice? probably super low haha. Oh well ~

- Scrolled a decent surfboard, cost me quite some mesos though (500k~800k?)


- bought 4 overall dex 10%s and one worked!

Now I just have to save for a long time to 30% it.

- bought 5 cape for str 60%s, 200k total
So I only passed 1 on the lvl 25 cape, resulting in it having 2 str. I NPC'ed that stuff real quick cause it made me slightly depressed LOL. I thought I would try to also scroll a str one (besides the dex one I already have), but guess not.

I did an oopsie. I wanted to change my IGN to 'fairy' but donated to the wrong account. I didn't feel like spending another 20 bucks so I'm quickly remaking my character. Will get back to you when I reach the point I left off at.

hi ~

There was a GM event so I decided to participate and turns out I am capable of finishing the fitness one. Pretty curious about the scroll of secrets. GM buffs afterwards let me finish Ariant quests in like 45 mins so that was nice .

In game:
- did a bunch of quests, including the ariant ones
- decided to add some str (only 10 though)
- got a nice scroll from gach:

I'm almost at 140 base int (my goal) so thats nice . Also super excited for the christmas event!

Hi ~

Just finished up doing about all the good quests left for my level range. We're almost getting to the grinding part, probably will slow down a bit then.

In game:
- job advanced
- did a bunch of quests
- got an overall int 60% from the omega sector dark crystal questline
- did the shoe jump 30% quests (showa and ninja castle)
- got trolled by the secret spell scroll (I've done a GM event twice and got a 30% cape for magic def scroll both times LOL)


- got a bunch of gach tickets

Gear updates:
- scrolled a nice bathrobe (cost me around 9m)
- random 30% cape str worked, decided to finish with 60%s just to have an alternative to my dex cape
- bought knuckle in fm for 2 mil

So I finished up about all the decent exp quests there are, lets get to the ghost ship grind C:.

In game:
Apparently I have no screenshots, I think my fraps must not have been on *facepalm*
- did a bunch of quests, got some levels
- didn't get any gach tickers :C
- have been MP washing for some time now, slowly chipping away at my AP reset stack tho

Hi ~

So today I got trolled super hard by scrolls, but more on that later. I did some grinding at ghost ship 1 and roids, as well as some EPQing (but man that PQ is so boring...).

In game:
- got some gach tickets


Was pretty happy with these C:

- scrolled a rat mouth:
bought a cheap 10% face avoid scroll I found in fm and a cheap clean rat mouth, and it worked!!


I then went and found 2 cheap face avoid 70% scrolls and they both landed, so I had this 4 dex 4 slot rat mouth looking fly.
However, quickly after I got ripped a new one by 60%s as only 1 out of the 4 60%s landed, the result is:


So I realise I can't complain because I got super lucky on the 10% hitting and stuff, but it made me kinda sad because it had SO MUCH potential to go places, but then the 60%s proved to actually be 25%s once again :3.
I was too scared to go and 30% or 70% it (though I debated the 30 LOL), but decided it booming would mean I lost too many mesos.
In total the scrolls and rat mouth cost me about ~18m I believe, not really sure what this thing is worked but I suppose I'll be using it for now.

Hi ~

SO it seems I have come back to the start of the circle again. I donated my items to new players and am probably making a bowmaster. Haven't been feeling motivated to update this thread anymore, I guess the fun is out of it. Maybe the pressure I put on myself to do well is what's really behind all this. Anyway, I'll see if I can make a poll;
Are people still interested in me updating the thread?

Input is appreciated, I would like to ask you once again to remain positive or constructive .

EDIT: also when I started this whole project for the first time back in like april, there weren't many threads of this kind besides spencil2 and skuire. Currently there's a plethora of good quality threads to follow so there are plenty of other options to read. Therefore my poor attempts at providing such content are just not as relevant anymore.
