For each job, at what "range" (attack) did you begin to notice a big difference in killing time?

    This applies specifically to bosses and obviously mages will be left out. But for everyone who has experience with a particular job that relies on range weapon attack what range number did you start to notice a big difference in how fast bosses were going down?

    I have the most experience atm with my Hero so in general I noticed he started killing with a better speed when his range started going to 8000 (8K) and beyond. This was only achieved with MW20+Echo+Rage and pretty budget gear for the most part.

    For those of you with experiences with other jobs what do you think is a good range threshold for each of the jobs to do "respectable" damage? It might give people new to those jobs something to shoot for (including me who is clueless on stuff like Corsair range).

    Fair enough. I can phrase it a different way for you though. When you had on what you thought was "amazing gear" what numbers did you see for your range?

    Being able to consistently hit 50k lines on assassinate dash and later standing nate in order to pin many bosses was a big threshold

    You don't happen to remember what the "range" stat when you opened up the Stat page though do you? Thats the number I'd like people to post just for quick reference. Thanks again for your input.

    I will edit my original post to make it more clear sorry.

    I noticed at 11.5k range as a hero it really started to make a big difference (not sure if relevant but I'm 6'2 btw)

    If you’re just looking for a rough range that’s considered “endgame”, a few benchmarks would probably be:
    NL - 8k upper range
    BM - 10k upper range
    Bucc - 11k upper range

    By all accounts these would be considered pretty strong, would require a combination of expensive gear and high levels, and should put you in the top 50 players of your class. I don’t have values for warriors, Sairs, or Shads since I haven’t played them. MM should just be slightly higher than BM.

    Yeah this is exactly what I was looking for this is great stuff. Thanks for pointing that out only cuz I didnt have the time investment for alot of the other classes to know what the good benchmarks. And yes I realize every job is different as far as skill modifiers and what it does to damage but its just nice to have a number to look at. Thanks again for laying that out.

    I do have a serious MM but I didn't post it because I still need major work on it.

    After a brief discussion with GurkGurk I think some generous benchmarks for warrior would be around 12.5k upper range and Sair would be 10k upper range, rough guess. These are all just sort of estimates but should be the ballpark for what would be considered very strong.

    Still no idea about Shad but I would assume around 10k upper range?

    Mage would be 1600 tma

    All assume fully buffed

    Yeah that is perfectly fine there is no need for anything too crazy, just rough estimates paints the picture just fine. That is very valuable stuff in terms of what to "shoot for" though and to continue improving your character so I am glad you still included warriors and the like.

    And not that it matters but 1600 tma is very nice for a bishop because you need 1599 to one shot petris with gen 30 which is always welcomed.

    beegorattobeegoratto only started letting my hero join his HT runs after I hit 14k range so I think that's probably when warriors start doing respectable damage.

    I believe it depends on the boss, how many men, how optimized you want the run, maybe DPM is a much better metric, since there are people who have good gear but don't know the mechanics of the own class or the boss

    I like to follow these topics to have a metric of the most experienced

    My mage has gotten pretty decent at certain bosses, definitely notice a big increase from two/three years back. Mage scaling change has been a solid improvement
