Jay's curiosity quest

Where did you find and/or notice this bug?
When i was doing the quest Jay's curiosity
Can you describe the bug in detail? If not, can you provide a screenshot/video of the bug?
Jay's curiosity quest requires you to talk to several NPCs after getting the Bob Snail Shell. Youre suppose to talk to Bruce, Gwin, Grendel and The Rememberer. I had talked to the first three NPCs, but when i proceed to talk to The Rememberer, I didn't have the quest.
What is supposed to happen?
You're suppose to be able to get the quest from The Rememberer, whereby he will steal the Bob Snail Shell and require you to get a new one + 1 snail shell (I think)
Can you provide a step-by-step guide to re-producing this bug? (Please be as specific as possible.)
I went to talk to Bruce, followed by Grendel, and then Gwin after getting the Bob Snail shell. The last person who I'm gonna talk to is The Rememberer, but he didnt give me the quest. After that, I went to forfeit the quest and tried to talk to Jay again to get the quest, but The Rememberer still didnt give me the quest.
