    Hey all!

I'm classing into a 2nd job advancement and wondered the benefits between I/L or Bishops. I've noticed there are tons of Bishops and a few I/L but hardly any F/Ps. I mostly "SOLO" and grind to find equipment/ scrolls to sell and start out. There are times where I usually "PARTY" with friends and a few others but there's hardy anyone to PQ at lower levels. (Haven't gotten to high levels yet but I wondered if it applies the same thing.)

Here are the things I enjoy doing.
    -Mobbing/SOLOing for mobs.
    - Not sure if there's tons of PQs at higher levels, despite playing a few PQs at lower levels. (KPQ) or a so...Haven't gotten that far yet; might be too quick to judge.
-Looking for any of those two job advances that is easier to level up.
    -Enjoying helping fellow Players/ Maplers.

I know it's a hit or miss mark above, but any suggestions?

    Cheers!

If you like solo more, I think mage will be better for you. They do have a lot of cool skills that help you immensely, and which coincidentally are rather bugged when other players are present on the same map. It's off the beaten path, but I'd suggest maxing seal and slow in case you must fight something resistant to or immune to ice.

You could potentially help players out a lot by disabling mobs or simply leeching for exp.

Bishops are overplayed (but for good reason) so just keep that in mind when you make your choice.

    for second job:
ice lightning mage is probably slightly faster, more areas to train with your lightning mobbing spell
clerics can afk heal at gs2, not as fast but easier to grind (sit on a staircase and hold down heal)

    for third job:
definitely ice lightning have the advantage in speed, ice mobbing skill + booster + elemental amplification
priests will have an easier time training with friends with hs, can still be fast with duo

What about F/P? They have the fastest lvling speed during 3rd job in the game with poison mist. And the're not as common, so bonus points for being a non-conformist xD

Okay thanks for the suggestion! Which skills are bugged that are more likely caused to happen? As for seal and slow is the "seal" like one of those skills that "Locks, skills" which certain bosses uses on PQs? The only side-cons I find on those two is it's potentially not that great on bosses I've heard. Although I'm mostly looking for mobs and an OK balance for bosses. (I'm aware Magicians aren't that great for bosses.- Note*)

Thanks for the suggestion guys! As for F/P I've tried them out back in 2007-2010 they were extremely fun for insane damage of their fire arrow; that is if you're a luckless magician. I've haven't accomplished reaching 3rd job for them; I feel they shine in PVP or PQs but not too well in mobbing (For second job). Not only have I played F/P but the Blaze Wizard for the Cygnus Knights as well, that class was outstanding in 3rd job.

Priests/Bishops are always going to be your go-to when it comes to bosses simply because of the huge number of support skills they have.
Notable ones: Resurrection, Holy Shield (prevent debuffs), Dispel, Heal, Holy Symbol

I/L do more damage than bishops when it comes to bosses but Bishops have way more supporting skills

So it all comes down to whether or not I should advanced to provide buffs & support skills by becoming a Priests/Bishops but will have a hard time soloing/mobbing (For second job I think; 3rd job I believe they do have a mobbing skill perhaps... can't remember). Verses an I/L mage that does the opposite, tough choice. I mean I suppose I could create a 2nd character and try the other, but that takes time. Sometimes it's a pain going through the second time and doing the same class again for a specific type.

Just curious, Does I/L fall off late game? while Priests shine end game?

Note* Thanks everyone I've decide that I/L is most likely best suited for me. Cheers! ;)

The bugs come into play when you do status debuffs. Seal will prevent monsters from using skills, and slow is obvious, but the problem is when more players are on a map, those debuffs usually disappear as soon as that mob is hit after they are applied. What you have to do to get the debuffs to work properly is hit (or KB) the monster once and THEN apply the status, but that's usually more work and harder to do with any benefit.

Thankfully that at least shouldn't be a problem with your ice skills, since they do damage and freeze at the same time.
