Macintosh MacOS High Sierra won’t Load Maple Legends

That's the risk of running an unreleased beta.

Do you get any errors at all? Wineskin may not be updated for that version of mac OS.

 

It's probably not the GMs that can fix it. Wineskin has to be updated, probably. Or High Sierra has bugs.

This happens to me too, i noticed that sometimes after quitting the client the application does not turn itself off.
All i do is force quit the application using command+alt+esc, then when I restart it the client will appear again. I think its a bug thats just slightly inconvenient, but since there's a thread about this now maybe the staff can try looking into it

but i'm using the one from the maplelegends website tho i don't think its a beta version

 

I'm assuming you're using the beta version if so what version are you using?

 

I found a hotfix for this; the game isn't as smooth as in Sierra but it'll play.

Try this:
1. Right click on the MapleLegends client
2. Show Package contents
3. Double click on WineSkin
4. Set screen options

5. Ensure that the options are selected as such:
- Override settings: rootless (windowed)
- Virtual Desktop at: current resolution
- Installer options: force normal windows
- Override wine control of screen settings: override
- Extra gamma correction: none
- Other options: only check "decorate windows"

6. Press done and quit WineSkin

I recently updated to High Sierra and I managed to open the game using your settings above but the static is really quite bad. Are there any proper solutions to this problem recently?

 

Fortunately I never ran into any problems on High Sierra. Can you provide a screenshot of the problem?

 

I have the same issue for awhile but i thought it only affected me.
I am not on High Sierra though!
Jaina's solution is what i have been doing and it worked for me.

 

Somehow running it in window mode, while small; seems to solve the static issues (at least for my computer). But apart from ML, High Sierra is also interfering with some of the other software that I use such as Excel, so I do hope that Apple does know about such compatibility issues.
