Macintosh Maple vs. Microsoft word

Hey all.

Ive been playing maple on my mac since february and the performance has been perfect all the way. But there is a small thing that has occured ocasionally that has gotten worse.


Whenever i launch maple client it also seem to open microsoft word. I didnt think much about it in the beginning since i would just see Word be on in the background whenever i turned maple off.

But what has happened after the latest update is that microsoft word has started to launch maplestory. And this is a real issue since my GF uses my mac to study.

Earlier today she texted me frustrated because she couldn't open her exam-prep document. When she clicked on the document it launched maple instead of said document


And also while she was working tonight word suddenly shuts down while shes typing and maple launches. When she closes maple, word is gone with her 3 hours of work. (Shame on her for not saving once in a while. She has learned now xD).


I know you GMs want us to play your server more. But could you please let us study in peace?

Tl;dr:
Microsoft word launches when i play maple and opposite. Is there a quick fix for this?

Please excuse my typos. I wrote this on my phone since my GF has my Mac so she can play maple while trying to study.
