Windows XP/Vista/7 Maplelegends missing shortcut

    When I try to open the game gives the missing shortcut error. I tried things I found in the forum (How to make an exception with Windows Defender/Microsoft Security Essential). I downloaded the game over and over but still the same.
    Finally I realized that. "MapleLegends.exe MapleLegendsWindowed.exe" is deleted from my computer after the files are moved from the "Client_Backup.zip" folder to another location. Could it be the problem here?

    I have the exact same problem. The shortcut works for like 2 days and then all of a sudden it’s gone and I have to reinstall the game...

    I still think its an anti-virus problem that it detects it as a virus and deletes it. Are you sure you made an exception the right way? Did you get any “virus detected message”? And if it is a virus you din’t need to reinstall there is an option in the anti virus to restore past threats files.
