    Skill changes:

    MapleLegends has skills changed for balancing reasons. They are listed as follows. MapleLegends is open for future skill suggestions.

    General:
    - The damage cap is increased from 99k to 199k (Leap Patch 2015)

    • Beginners can do the Mount quest (Valentine 2017)

    [​IMG] Iron Body - increased from +40 weapon defense to +60 weapon defense (Christmas 2020)
    [​IMG] Monster Magnet - Can be used on non-stationary bosses (Valentine 2021)
    [​IMG] Endure - Gives a 16% chance (2% per level) of not consuming a "healing potion" (Valentine 2025)
    • This does not require the Swordsman to be on a ladder/rope to activate.
    • A potion is considered a "healing potion" if it heals HP, does not influence attack, magic attack, accuracy or avoidability, and is not a transformation potion.
    • Example 1: Using a Grilled Cheese WILL be able to use Endure's effect, as it recovers HP, but doesn't affect the stats mentioned above.
    • Example 2: Using an Onyx Apple will NOT be able to use Endure's effect, as whilst it recovers HP, it influences attack as well.
    • Example 3: Using a Mana Elixir will NOT be able to use Endure's effect, as whilst it doesn't affect the stats mentioned above, it also doesn't recover HP.

    [​IMG] Rage - Has 30 levels instead of 20. It also gives 20 ATTK at level 30, instead of 10 ATTK at level 20 (Summer 2018)

    • Consumes 5 orbs instead of all existing orbs (Anniversary 2022)
    • Introduced a more consistent hitbox with a slightly shorter horizontal and vertical range than Brandish (Anniversary 2023)

    • Block success rate increased from 15% to 20% (Christmas 2020)
    • Proc knockback distance has been greatly decreased (October 2022)
    [​IMG] Advanced Combo - Attack recharging two combos with one attack increased from 60% to 75% (Christmas 2020)

    • Cooldown reduced from 8 minutes to 6 minutes (Valentine 2021)
    • Cannot be dispelled (Christmas 2020)
    • Now gives a maximum of +6 weapon attack that is stackable with other weapon attack sources (i.e. works simultaneously with rage/pots) (May 2025)
    • Duration at low skill levels has been rescaled, starts at 120 seconds for level 1-10, then 180 seconds for level 11-20, then 5 seconds increment per level until a maximum of 240 seconds for level 21-30 (May 2025)

    • Levels 11 - 20: Crusher will attack 2 enemies
    • Levels 21 - 30: Crusher will attack 3 enemies
    Previously, crusher would attack up to 3 enemies until level 15 then return to attacking 1 enemy at level 16 until it scaled up to 3 enemies by level 26

    [​IMG] Sacrifice - Loss of HP is now based on max HP instead of damage (Valentine 2023)

    • Reworked to heal 5% max HP every 4 seconds when activated, instead of giving +12 weapon attack (Valentine 2023)

    [​IMG] Hex of the Beholder - Now condensed to a single buff (i.e. no longer buffs each stat one-by-one) (Aug 2025)
    [​IMG] Aura of the Beholder - Skill reworked!
    • Aura now has 2 new modifier effects on Beholder: Self-SI and Stun chance on Dragon Fury (Valentine 2025)
    • If Beholder is summoned, grants 90% stun chance to Dragon Fury attacks.
      • Starts from 18% chance and increases 3% per skill level.
      • Stun duration is 3 seconds.
    • If Beholder is summoned, grants an attack speed increase for the Dark Knight, much like Buccaneer's Speed Infusion. Weapon speed will increase at certain levels of this skill. This stacks with Booster, but not with Buccaneer's Speed Infusion.
      • At skill level 6 and above, increases weapon speed faster by 1.
      • At skill level 16 and above, increases weapon speed faster by 2.
      • Note: When the Buccaneer's Speed Infusion is used, it will replace the aura's effect. After the expiration of the Buccaneer's skill, either the Buccaneer has to use it again, or the Dark Knight can summon Beholder again to reapply their own.
    • Note: The stun and attack speed increase will not apply when Beholder is not summoned.

      • Damage scaling has been reworked
        • Below the skill HP threshold (55% at level 30), max damage bonus is fixed at +110% (i.e. no longer scale)
        • Above the skill HP threshold (55% at level 30), damage gradually falls from +110% to +0% at full HP

      • Active Berserk now contains two parts:

          • Lasts 20 seconds
          • Cleanses all status effects except seduce once on activation
          • Dark Knight is immune to Damage Reflect during this part
          • Grants a damage bonus of +100% and starts a hit counter limit (max 18). An attack that deals at least 1 damage is considered 1 hit, regardless of the number of "damage lines" or targets hit
          • If number of hits is 18 or greater at the end of the duration, second part of active Berserk is granted (Unleashed Berserk & Runic Shield).
          • If the hit check is failed, second part of active Berserk will NOT be granted, and the Berserk passive bonus will be reactivated

    • Delay before players can use movement commands and skills after casting Smokescreen has been shortened, to be roughly 1.6x faster (Anniversary 2023)
    • The visuals for smokescreen will now fade out 1.5 seconds before the invulnerability effect ends (Halloween 2023)

    Skills that affect monsters' drop rates

    In MapleLegends, killing monsters with certain skills affects their drop rate differently. Here is a list of the specific alterations.

    Notes:
    • Drop rate of quest items, of boss monsters, and of event drops is not influenced by any of the changes listed below.
    • Event drops follow a completely different formula.
      • [​IMG] Cleric's Heal is the only skill that has been altered to reduce the event drops drop rate, if used to deal the fatal blow to monsters.

    [​IMG] Summon Dragon
    [​IMG] Bahamut
    [​IMG] Silver Hawk
    [​IMG] Golden Eagle
    [​IMG] Phoenix
    [​IMG] Frostprey

    [​IMG] Wrath of the Octopi

    Dealing the fatal blow to a monster with a Summon skill will cause the drop rate of that monster to be greatly reduced.



    Ultimate abilities

    [​IMG] Dragon Roar
    [​IMG] Meteor Shower
    [​IMG] Blizzard
    [​IMG] Genesis

    Dealing the fatal blow to a monster with Dragon Roar or with a Mage ultimate skill will cause the drop rate of that monster to be reduced.


    [​IMG] Aerial Strike
    Dealing the fatal blow to a monster with Aerial Strike will cause the drop rate of that monster to be slightly reduced.
