Fact: if you flip a coin and it lands on heads 10 times, it still has 50/50 chance of landing on heads/tails the next time.

But if you guys get another skill book, you might want to go out onto a map and kill some mobs first. Maybe that will get you a new RNG that's less sucky.

 

It's not if the server or the client handles it. It's how the source handles the RNG in the first place.
