martyballer 2024 (a stinker returns)

Whew, what a year it has been. If some of you didn't know, I'm Marty and I've been "playing" ML since 2020 and honestly have had such shit luck in the last 4 years that I ended up quitting in 2022. However, due to a 200 party for my guildie, Jeremy (Jrmyy), I came back in April of this year. Maple fever got a hold of me again and this time I actually got LUCKY. What a year. Let me explain.

An ode to Kyoto, oh how lively we have become again. Through all the ups and downs. Thank you to Andrew (Pain), Johnny (JPinks), Aaron (Aaron, Avoure) ,Ivan (Lvan) and Steve (OpTiC) for holding it down all these years. I was glad to come back and see the guild was still alive and doing well.

When I first came back and as a terrible player who barely washed, when I came back all I could do was HT and some NT content. Not great but I mean it was what I was used to... until... . Wow HP Challenges came out. What a time to be a 10k hp NL. So with this and event equips this pumped me up to 15k hp and I could finally do PB again without dying 6 times a run. Insane. Shout out to Milkfarm runs and Ramon and the gang for allowing me to run PB again for the first time in years. Truly some of the best times I've had this year. Another thank you to Wicked and Mard for allowing me to run on his 18 man runs. Lets pray for some good drops for once... Sunday runs...

However, none of this could be possible if I didn't achieve super motivation from passing MW30 , thanks to my dear friend and brother Alfred (Cactuscock, crac). He loaned me 500 coins and there was the motivation I needed to keep playing. I passed the book first try and I've been a slave to HT again ever since.

HT... I hate it and I love it. Thanks to every person I've ran HT with in the last 7 months. That includes you T yes here's your personal shoutout. But none more than my friend and brother John (Jeesoo). We grinded out so many HT and endured so many dry spells but man we made some good mesos and great times. I was on his late grind to 200 with him on his BM and now the journey continues with his new NL (Jeesooo, isn't he so creative with his character naming? I mean he did make NinjaTB (Tyler Blevins) so maybe he is a little funny). Thankful for all the friends I made along the way in this god forsaken boss (preheads are literally the worst thing on this server please can we get rid of them?)

A personal thank you to Jess (LlanaMii) for not divorcing me after being inactive for 2 years and missing her 200 party (I'M STILL SO SORRY). Find you a maple wife this loyal I DARE YOU.

975C and a pass. That's all. Now I can be bothered to buff people all of the time in every single boss. A gift and a curse.

Finally a GOOD claw

The story of how I made this claw was a real doozy. From a 86 12 craven to a perfect, absolutely gorgeous, perfect every stat speargrave... It all started when I crafted a NT claw because I was bored. Turns out it was a perfect 57, 9, 8. I was honestly shocked. Shout out to Steve for stone to craft it. A 30 and then another left it at 67/2... I was left at a crossroads. Sell it or continue grinding my ass off to finish this thing. I chose neither. I flipped the craven for 3300 coins and then gambled the WS10s to finish it. The ML Gods smiled down upon me and I finished the claw in 5/26 white scrolls. What a disgusting spoonfeed. This is honestly what gave me so much joy and motivation. To finally finish a truly perfect weapon. One of the best moments I've ever felt. The nervousness as I dropped ea ws10 on the claw praying for at least a few passes so I wouldn't have to quit in shame... Well I guess quitting is off the menu for a while.

Thank you to Linny and everyone involved to get a shitty 15k hp NL to actually be able to do this boss. Thanks for the training and guidance. I ended up getting a pretty nice helm and the chair in process. Yes I know (SHOULD'VE SCROLLED FOR LUK BRO LUL)

Listen this earring is such a piece of garbage and it pissed me off so much when I had to 70 dex it to start it because it had no dex and then the 5 ensuing chaos scrolls took all the dex away so I had to 70 luk the last slot.

I'm really glad I decided to redownload this game and play again because I've met some really awesome people. These people have made me actually enjoy this game again and I'm so thankful to have met and played with all of you. I hope you all have an amazing 2025 and that this year treats you as amazing as 2024 treated me. Thank you for anyone who cares to have read this post.
