Information Official update regarding deleted characters

Hello everyone,

Since the beginning of MapleLegends, we've had a pretty strong stance on deleted characters: Once you delete your character, it's gone forever.

Around April 2020 we've overhauled the way deleted characters work, which allows us to easily recover characters if we wanted to. This was generally used when someone got breached, so the character could be extremely easily recovered.

About I would say a year to a half year ago I've started to accept requests to recover deleted characters. However, I've never really made an official post notifying about that, and I believe the Mapletip in-game even still states that character deletions are permanent

Today is an official notice we are openly accepting character deletion recovery requests. If you've ever regretted deleting your character and wish to make a return to MapleLegends, there's now an option to ask if your deleted character is still intact.

Please note that when you delete a character your in-game name becomes available again, which means the in-game name you originally had may be lost if it's now being used by an active character. If that is the case a number or character will be added to the name. We will not accept free requests to have the name changed.

NOTE: Characters that were deleted before our revamp (around April 2020) CAN NOT be recovered.
