Remove the magic cap

    Did you know magic caps out at 1999 tma? That means anything over it does exactly nothing. This has been mage knowledge for years because we have always felt scammed when testing these rare potions:

    It's perhaps the rarity and duration of these potions that have made us overlook the magic cap problem, despite having a valid case in our hands.

    Time has passed, the server has aged and mage mains have been raising the bar higher and higher. Today I'm in a funny situation, I'm not only getting capped by the very rare Juices but by a common favorite mage potion: Ssiws Cheese

    This means I'm "over tma'd" by 5 tma and that tma does exactly nothing. I still have many gear improvements left so this magic cap is dissapointing because I wanna keep enjoying my mage journey. Moreover as time passes more mage mains will find the same limitations.

    Therefore I'm suggesting to please remove the magic cap and let mage mains keep wanting to improve!! SlimeCry

    increase it to a number so absolutely high that it is impossible for the regular player to even reach, much like attack ranges? then count me in

    Mages aren't the only class that have to deal with artificially placed damage caps. TMA cap may be more "in your face" with its limits, but a tma cap removal doesn't seem justified without a global damage cap removal

    Please keep the topic about the mage situation, I acknowledge other classes might have similarities as far as "blocked feelings of pogression" go, but I think those deserve their own thread as those cases have their own unique characteristics mostly based on specific skill lines. Here I'm only referring to mages "range" being capped and how that limits every single skill of our kits.

    My friend we are not talking about something broken here, your question suggests that we need to "compromise" at a fixed number and I ask why.

    If anything I agree with what TTKIRNK said before.

    But what about the elemental increase within each mage class being holy, fire, and ice. Wouldn’t that just kind of balance the overall dmg as to why there’s a cap?

    The topic got diluted because damage cap was brought up, I'm not talking about lines. It's about TMA cap, the proper equivalent is attackers RANGE.

    No mage 'range' is ever going beyond gear and pots limitations, 3K might be where it's at. The central idea of the thread is about making it so mages can keep having progression.

    I'll put it in simple terms since I believe there's some confusion:

    Imagine you are gearing your nightlord and the game puts you in a situation in which there isn't any difference between scrolling your +5 claw to +6 and +7, it doesn't matter what equip you upgrade next theres zero benefits because your range doesn't move. That happens with mage.

    If I upgrade my DKs avoid gear to perfect he's gonna reach the avoid cap. Can we remove the avoid cap for suffering DKs like me? We DKs stan with the poor warrior victims of damage cap in this thread

    but for real though even if you hit the damage cap on classes that reach 200k lines, your improvements in upgrades still function in increasing the damage floor. It's less effective but still has a positive effect on DPM.

    Magic doesn't have that
