    Dear Maplers,

    As many of you may already know the server has been a bit unstable causing the game and website to be inaccessible for periods of time. It has been confirmed that these are DDoS attacks. The server at this time appears to be more accessible for some people than others and if you are able to successfully launch the client you can expect lag and dcs during these DDoS periods. This seems to be occuring on and off as the day goes by so at the time all we can do is wait. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that in our next announcement we are able to bring some good news.

    I bet that when the attack first started happening, someone started messing with the code to try to fix the instability, and that's how we got the CCing DC again.

    Well, it's just my theory. Make sure you're in communication with everyone and absolutely sure no one else touched anything. If someone indeed changed something, you probably only need to revert it back.

    Firewalls my friend. This is why stopping a DDoS is a pain in the ass, since you usually also get legit traffic.

    "Update time.

    We are still finalizing looking into the best DDoS Protection solution, but do note this may take time and its very limited right now.

    Generally we are paying around 300~ a month now for our settings (GTOP, the host, etc) and if we were to example get Incapsula it would increase it to at least 4 digits a month

    In short, DDoSing is one of the easiest things to do but one of the most expensive/hard things to cover.

    Its clear now after 3 days someone really want us down, so as expected we fight our hardest to make that not happen, but we need time to decide carefully."
