Edit: for Bowman, the best way to kill a monster that's way stronger than you is to use Arrow Bomb 3 times to stun, then strafe 5 times (or DS/Arrow Blow if you're still second job)
This of course doesn't work for bosses

Neat trick. I have a similar one for Assassins: The best way to kill a monster way stronger than you is to hold down your Lucky Seven hotkey much longer than you normally do.

Buffs casts faster on a rope/ladder than when standing. So do hop on for a quicker rebuff whenever there's a friendly neighborhood suicide apparatus around.

 

If you kill a monster quickly enough after he hits you, you won't take damage. This has saved my booty countless times.
