Windows 8/8.1/10 Unable to Connect to MapleLegends

    Hello all,

    I'm having trouble accessing/playing the game and I'm hoping you can help.

    I get the following message whenever I try to run the game client:

    "We are unable to connect to MapleLegends. Please check the MapleLegends hompage for ongoing server checks and updates"

    I have been trying to get the game client to work on and off over the last month.
    I have followed all of the troubleshooting tips I can find on the forums.
    I install the latest versions on the game client and run as an administrator.
    I have tried running the game on two windows laptops - windows 8.1 and 10.
    I have disabled all anti-virus (Kaspersky) software on my computer.
    I have made anti-virus exceptions for the game client, its folder and some of the other files.
    I have disabled/made exceptions to my firewall for the game client.
    I have booted windows in safe-mode with networking and tried to run the game.

    If anyone can offer some advice, I will be extremely grateful.
    I'd like to experience some of that 2005 post-beta and pre-big bang GMS nostalgia.

    I'm having the same issue as you , I've tried everything. MapleLegends just suddenly stopped launching for me. I wish I could play again but they've already posted all the fixes to our problem but it just doesn't work. It was fun while it lasted.

    Have you tried launching the client while connected to a VPN?

    So I was having the same issue and I saw someone in another forum say to mass click opening maple legends. It actually worked for me after the first 3 windows failed to launch. Very strange behavior though.

    This is what I've always had to do to get ML to load, just close out the other clients once you get one actually loaded.

    Just like that, it works perfectly fine. I honestly thought I'd never be able to play the game.

    Thank you for your suggestion. I tried using several different VPN locations but had no luck.
    Thankfully, the problem is now resolved MapleF2

    I retract my previous messages. I was able to play the game for a couple of days, and now the same problem is occurring. Seems it wasn't mass-clicking that fixed it; something else was at play. I hope it works again, but if not, it was fun while it lasted. I was starting to get addicted again, too... MapleF4

    My issue is as per my original post. Whenever I try to run the game, I'm told the client can't connect to MapleLegends. No matter what I try, I get the same error message. The game randomly started working for me for the first time on Sunday and Monday; when I tried to boot it yesterday, I got the same messages as before. I've only been able to play the game twice since I first registered at the start of August.

    Right now the issue have not coming back and everyone is playing without issues. Do you have any sort of anti virus installed that may be blocking connection to the client?

    I run Kaspersky. I have set exceptions and tried disabling protection, but it does nothing. I've given full details of what I've tried in my first post at the start of this thread. This isn't a new problem for me; it's been ongoing since August.
    Also, a separate issue I've just noticed, I can't seem to log into my account on the MapleLegends website anymore. I get a message saying "Username and password can't be over 12 characters long".

    The only advice I still got is trying UNINSTALLING Kaspersky temp. and restarting your PC and running the client. If it still is no go, I am out of advice from the things you tried. Game is working fine for everyone else.

    Makes even less sense since I still see thousands of people logging in to the site today alone. Nothing is broken.

    I am having same problem.
    Wokred completely fine first time i played (yesterday) just after downloading the game, but now i cant access and i get the same error window

    Actually i just think i figured out what was wrong (at least in my case)

    I couldn't connect when i was trying throug a public wifi (a local library) when i changed to my own hotspot on my mobilephone, it worked perfectly :)
