    Hello,

Yesterday we've made changes to how Monster Book cards work (which you can find by clicking here).

We received different kinds of feedback from this. Some approved the underlying idea but hated the execution, while some completely hated it. Those that didn't approve handled it maturely and explained thoroughly why.

When the changes were applied we also said we will keep continue listen to feedback and improve on implementing it. We've also listened to different people, such as how they grind together with their friends.

At first we wanted improve it and add an active 'mob killing' timer. Basically, it would mean that if the person didn't kill any mob recently the card will be invisible to them, unless you’re the drop owner. This would keep party playing intact but still eliminate afk leeching and such. However, this appears to be very complex and is impossible to implement currently with our system without other flaws and issues.

We thought of many other ideas to keep both parties happy, but many of them didn’t solve what we dislike and only made things less user friendly and annoying.

And thus, we came at a dead stop - we currently have no solution to the 'problems' without it hurting the things people are enjoying.

Since party play is the most important aspect of Old MapleStory we’ll be reverting the changes completely, which will be happening next maintenance today. Tier 8 ring needs to be fixed as well, so the maintenance will probably be this evening.

We want to thank you as always for the feedback you've given us and if we ever come with other ideas that don’t run into the same issues, we might take another look at the situation.

    Thank you.
