What if you could only mage ult if you had mapowner?

    Exclude instanced boss maps.

    Multi maging would be nerfed while solo mage stays the same.

    You could exit/enter the map or cs/fm to reset mapowner for every ult, but you'd need to reposition every time. Doesn't seem very viable to me.

    You could hog all the channels of a map. Now this is a real issue, but why not just make it against the rules to hog multiple channels of a map? That's the only solution I got right now.

    You could just multi client and have your mages in diff maps. But this would still be a heavy nerf to the efficacy of multi maging. You dont have sweeper/mules for every mage and you'd have to choose worse maps.

    Also rip duo mages grinding together. A worthy sacrifice?

    Is this genius or stupid? Please discuss.

    While it’s going to be horribly hard (or impossible with the amazing maplestory codebase) to implement, the idea is appealing. Of course, if you could implement this then you could also make a 2nd mapowner to solve the duo mage issue. Then you still have duo mage ulu2 issues, though.

    Hexamage will stay (if not on 1 map, then on multiple), just like multi-attacking zak, scarga, ht is most likely staying. The best way to play vanilla maplestory is just having 2 PCs and stressing the fuck out. No room for softies in a hardcore grind game I guess
