Well, I'd imagine that the most likely person for an item (skill book) will obtain the book, and the one who doesn't get anything (with the most points) while being a high level, will be given a pendant?

 

You bid your points on whatever you want, if you want to use them on a pendant, you use them on that. If you want to use them on a book, so be it. It is important to remember that they are consumables, so once you use them, you can't re-use them for another item. Levels are tie breakers, but you could also save up points if there is no item you want from the ones that dropped.

Yeah like Sucre said, if you use your points on a neck because the book you want doesn't drop you will be unable to compete with all the other people of the same class that wants to have the same book when it does drop.

 

The main problem I see is Night Lords being able to recharge when they D/C (or fake D/C for that matter). Other than that, I don't see the problem.

will there be a max cap/limit for the points we can accumulate, or can we save as many as we want ?
also will the points work for alt's or just the char you use for the run's ?

For the 1st question, you can save as many as you want.
for the 2nd question, you can use points to get books for alts (assuming they can use them)
