Completed MapleLegends 2nd Anniversary Events

there are a few things i noticed with the cake event.

first unlimit people can enter and reenter the cake map when the boss is spawned.
because it is a unlimited amount there is a chance it causes huge lagg and dc spikes when they attack and spamm messages.

second everytime when i join cake boss after he is already spawned i am unable to get the kitkat message, no matter how much i hit him.
which makes it impossible for me to loot any marble

also is it possible that there is a limited of how many people can recieve the message?

maybe it is possible to lower the cake requierment a bit ?
since not as many people farm cakes anymore.
1st april hype is already over and many people are frustraded, since they put so much effort farming thousands of cake
just to get a dc or even better getting bugged out of kitkat.

 

-That's the point of game events though.. they are meant for all its players.

-You're not supposed to get a message from kitkat while attacking the cake boss..
You just gotta keep attacking till he goes down, and depending on how much dmg you've done to him (i'd say its like a 2 min non stop attacking minimum requirement).
Then pick up the marble, it should be where you've been the most while attacking the cake boss, if not just search it one by one.

-The message that the cake is at 80%/90%/baked? everyone gets it.

-Cake requirement for the cake boss is 10,000 I think.
The cakes are dropped from every mob and 90% of the players are focusing on grinding so they get cakes.

It's true that there's a lot of DC issues but that's kind of the side-effect of the event unless staff decides on something to do.

To all of you asking "How many hits to get credit for cake boss??"

If you would stop multi-clienting and HELP people kill the boss instead of being greedy focusing on getting 6 drops from one Cake..you wouldn't need this number.

Don't give me that, "oh it just does a lot of damage and i'm too poor for potions, so I hide in the back as much as possible," either.

There's a patch for that.

Ugh, that's why these Cake bosses take a while even with reduced cake health.

No no its okay, just at least be efficient with those clients <3 don't just have them there only to hit minimum amount, and remain there(just looking pretty) to add to the DC problem..

 

about the message it seems like not everyone is getting it some might not even know about it.
but im only able to loot marbles when i have recieved the pop up.
(i try to take a screenshot the next time i see it without getting bugged out)

im aware that the event is suppose to be this way so everyone can enjoy, but there is a clear problem.
Lagg, Spamm, high Damage and DC. many people cant handel this amount of player in 1 room, some even have problems in large maps.
its not enjoyable to spent hours collecting cakes to help with the progress just to expieriecne a wave of never ending laggs right,
when the fun was suppose to start. people die within 1 large lack wave since they cant use potions and the boss its so much.

the best part is the "possible" requierment you need to attack more, but how are you going to attack when everytime you get near
everything just freezes and if it start to move a bit you need to heal right away or else you die.

at the current state its more frustrating, than enjoyable.

(PS:10k req is possible but somehow i think it could be 20k since i donated 2k before and it moved 10% further but we might need more testing)

 

I think everyone has had some decent amout of dc's even when not in the event map.. and as for the lag and such.. I would recommend to lower settings (yes even in maple there are graphics ) put it to low and try with these settings, it helped for me a bit. meow <3 Cora

 

i grinded for one hour on my 38 xbow and got 8 of them. it's just bad luck on your side i'm sure. make sure you have pet loot b/c sometimes the candle can blend in

i'm literally smacking it with pink jizz balls 100% to 0% i'm not multi clienting

 

I'm confused about the Mr Kit Kat thing. How does it work? Where he at? What do I do with 400 pieces of cake? lol

 

From trial and error, 150 HITS should get you credit from cake boss. LF>Mute event map patch

I'm pretty sure I have had no pop-up box after cake is killed, but I was still able to loot a marble after lots of searching.

Have you received any insight/gotten any help for this yet????

 

Seems some of your files are outdated, download the latest installer from the website to make sure you're on the absolute latest files.

 

went in 4 times only got 1 marble.. 3 times dc :S
