Depending on the version in which you are most familiar, in JMS, this was treated as an entry point into Crimsonwood Keep.

 

It's a Monster Dungeon at Sutra Depository 5-6 F, right? If I'm not mistaken, that was removed this year.

 

Yes, the door! I don't know what I'd put there. Is there anything you thought of that could go there?

 

I can see how that would work with another NPC having that function being there in the same map or behind that very door.

I think that it'd be a much appreciated QOL change, especially for Sleepywood-locked players, since to make The Magic Rock and The Summoning Rock from Eurek, you need to have plates which you create from ores.

The Lost Ankh

"An arcane key needed to unlock Bigger Ben's Pharoah Gate."

I'm confident this entrance was for the Pharoah Gate. But no one will truly ever know what was intended to be done in that map.

It seems from the interview with the guy who came up with the idea of Masteria there were bigger plans to connect it to with Ariant?

For that to work, I imagine that would also mean this same object (the statue) would have had to put somewhere in a map around Ariant. Perhaps it may have just connected Ariant and NLC but didn't have to involve any of the Anhks I've mentioned whatsoever.

 

I never understood why Ronnie was put in The Tree Tunnel At the Forest Up North and away from other NPCs.

Personally, I'd move him to Ellinia.
