Summer Break Events!

Ah, summer. A time for packing the cooler and heading out with friends to… hunt monsters? Kick the season off right with the MapleLegends Summer Break Events!

Summary:
(Growing the Maple Tree: July 1st – July 24th, 23:59 GMT)
(Summer Vacation Caption Contest: July 1st - July 22nd, 23:59 GMT)
(Hot Rates: July 1st – July 24th, 23:59 GMT)
(Summer Cash Shop Update)

[Summer Break Event 1: Growing the Maple Tree]
(July 1st – July 24th, 2016)

To enter Maple Hill, talk to Maple Administrator and she will send you there. In order for the Maple Tree to grow, you will need to work together and provide the Maple Tree with sufficient Sunshine . Sunshine can be hunted from all monsters. Once the Maple Tree is fully grown, it will drop Magic Crystals . These crystals can be exchanged with NPC Aramia for some cool items, including Maple equipment!

- Requirements for exchanging: Lv. 20 or higher
- The top 5 Sunshine donators will be rewarded with a special prize!

[Summer Break Event 2: Summer Vacation Caption Contest]
(July 1st – July 22nd, 2016)

Go on a summer vacation in MapleLegends and tell us your story. Take a screenshot of your Maple vacation and write a fun caption. The funniest, wittiest, and most creative screenshots with caption will win.

3 winners: 20,000 Game Cash and an exclusive chair!

To submit your screenshot, click here. Don't forget the caption to go along with it!
- Only screenshots submitted via the link above will be reviewed.
- One submission per person/forum account.
- Only in-game screenshots, no Bannedstory or Photoshop allowed to edit anything in (cropping is allowed though).
- Caption can be as short or as long as you wish.

[Summer Break Event 3: Hot Rates]
(July 1st – July 24th, 2016)

Celebrate the summer with an extra 15% bonus EXP-, mesos-, and drop-rates.
On top of that, the drop-rate for the Gachapon Tickets (Hunting) will be buffed the entire event period, also!

[Summer Break Event 4: Summer Cash Shop Update]

I believe you can only carry one at a time in your inventory

The tree will drop one crystal for each character in the map. It will drop right on top of your character and can only be looted by you, until it disappears.

Do maple weapons drop from monsters too? It doesn't really say in the post but there was a message that somebody got a maple weapon earlier.

The message is from exchanging the Maple Crystal at the event map for the Maple Tree. They do not drop, no.

Event #1 is good, but the major flaw is the prize only available to the top 5 people that donate. An example to make it a good motivation is to remove the limit and allow the prize to be awarded to anybody to donated at least 20 times (just an example [maybe limit how often you can donate a day, or a minimum of 50 Sunshine to donate]).

Event #2 isn't bad either, but it isn't necessarily exclusive to in-game play. This would have been a great event as maybe a bonus event, and not directly tied into the actual events. Again, everybody that partakes in this event should at least receive a consolation prize.

Event #3 is alright... though mathematically, 15% is a REALLY LOW increase. We need to allow for more economic growth, many people are pretty poor. I feel 50% would have been much better, at least for meso and drop rate.

I know I'm going to be flamed. I don't care. These are just my opinions.

But, don't take it the wrong way. I appreciate the staff's effort into becoming more active and doing more events.

The prize is not only available to the top 5 people who donate. That's just an extra prize. Everyone is rewarded in this event.
