cant open maple legends after upgrading to el capitan

Here's what I've found about it, (note; I do not own a Mac nor am a Mac expert by any means so use at your own risk).

Well you are playing a game on an OS it wasn't programed for.

 

restart your mac and press cmd + r.
then open the terminal (navbar "utilities") and enter "csrutil disable".
restart and you are gucci to go.

EDIT: woops Latte already posted that. however, it worked for me.

 

Latte's method worked for me as well.
You need to completely turn off the computer, then press and hold CMD+R the moment you start it up.
Don't let go of the keys until it starts loading something.
You'll be greeted with the recovery menu, there you need to press Utilities -> Terminal
in the terminal, type the command 'csrutil disable'.
Once you're done, reboot again (this time without pressing CMD+R, the way you normally would) and enjoy playing MapleLegends once again.

Just wrote a guide for fixing the "Failed to activate core devices" message, if it's still not working.

Fix for "Failed to activate core devices" error on Mac.

It should work for most any version of macOS, not just El Capitan.
