Hi Ravy, a whole bunch of suggestions for you before getting into anything too scary!

    1. As above, make sure your refresh rate is correct and above 45 for all of your available monitors.
    1. If you have multiple monitors, try disabling them temporarily while booting the title.
    2. If you haven't already, run the setup.exe in your MapleLegends folder -- if this fails (if it'll fail, it'll likely fail with an D3D 8.1 error) let us know!

If you absolutely can't get it working after all of these, let me know and I'll get back to you with a more hacky (but definite) fix. :)

www.systemrequirementslab.com could give you some insight in what the problem is with your laptop related to MapleStory. Just fill in MapleStory (on your laptop) and click on 'can you run it'. What does it say?

Does your display+GPU support 800x600 in the listed available resolutions? This issue only really occurs because the process is unable to create a valid surface/BB, which is by default '800x600 @ 60hz - Monitor 1'.

The standard way to check this is to open Screen Resolutions → select 'Advanced Settings' → select 'List All Modes'.

maybe its because you updated the Windows 10 features on your laptop or your computer cause this.

I've tried everything, and realized that my laptop only has 128mb dedicated RAM. I've tried every single method but nothing seems to be able to change it. is there still a way to play?

I have the same issue and no matter what i do I can't seem to fix it.
My drivers are up to date
    I have directx 12
and my frame rate is already set to 60hz
    I've also tried different compatibility

It seems I also have the same issues.

I have tried everything suggested above, and despite having updated drivers I can't seem to get it to work. I've tried increasing my dedicated RAM, but sadly can't enhance it past 128MB.

My other specs (I'm not very good with computers, so unsure what to post)
    -Windows 10 Home 64
    -Intel® Core™ i5-7200U (2.5 GHz, up to 3.1 GHz, 3 MB cache, 2 cores)
    -7th Generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor
    -8 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB)
    -1 TB 5400 rpm SATA
    -Integrated Intel® HD Graphics 620
    -39.6 cm (15.6") diagonal HD SVA BrightView WLED-backlit (1366 x 768)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Managed to follow a new tutorial and boost my video RAM all the way to 512MB, however this still hasn't fixed this issue.
