Increase Werewolf and Lycanthrope spawns

    A request to increase the spawns for Werewolves and Lycanthropes to be a quality of life change for card hunting. blushmush

    There are only 4 werewolves on one map and 3 lycanthropes on 3 different maps. The spawns are also spread out due to the vertical nature of the maps. This change could make card hunting potentially less tedious.

    I suggest the following:
    -Remove all hector and white fang spawns
    -Wolf Territory I, change werewolf count from 4 to 16
    -Wolf Territory III, retain current lycanthrope count (3) and add 13 werewolves
    -Wolf Territory IV, change lycanthrope count from 3 to 8, add 8 werewolves
    -Wolf Territory V, change lycanthrope count from 3 to 16.

    I pick 16 for the total mob count because in Wolf Territory II, there are 16 Dark Yeti and Pepe mobs.

    In addition to alleviating card hunting for these two mobs, here are additional points to consider:
    1) Alternate training spots (werewolves and lycanthropes give 800 and 1,700 EXP respectively).
    2) New source for farming Scroll for Earring for INT 10% (werewolf), Dark Scroll for Earring for INT 30%, and Ilbis (lycanthrope drops)

    Some counterpoints for this suggestion:
    1) Changing the mobs would go against the nostalgic nature of this server.
    2) Some players who have already collected these cards would feel their efforts have been invalidated.
    3) Even with increased mob count, there's still a chance that hunting for these cards will take a long time due to bad luck, which could make this change pointless.
    4) Hunting these two mobs is not required to obtain the T10 ring.

    The idea is interesting, but that will probably be too good for the multimagers, since they drop high valuable scrolls, so I think it's not gonna happen.
    Did you try to change channels?

    I don’t know if I can agree with this suggestion. The vibe of those maps are so cool, a half-hearted change can ruin it.

    I card hunted the sets there for Tier 10. The spawns are low, but hunting there was still an enjoyable experience.

    True, a compromise could be to remove these scrolls from the drop tables of these two enemies.

    Can you elaborate on how this change would ruin the vibes of these maps?

    easy fix.


    Werewolf 1&2 and Lycanthrope 1&2

    werewolf 2 and Lycanthrope 2 spawns more abundantly but have their 'valuable scrolls" removed from drop table, the rest is 100% identical to the Werewolf 1 and Lycan 1.
    werewolf 1 and Lycanthrope 1 still remains 3-4x per map.

    its just card hunting right? instead of increasing mob count why not just increase the card drop rate?

    I learnt in calculus course long ago that there are usually 2 ways of calculating definite integral - Just using intergral, or, right point rule. Idk why this came up on my mind after reading your 'fix'.

    Or up the HP and EXP tremendously like Brextons and Gatekeepers, while also increasing the card drop rate blushmush

    I would prefer to leave the spawns as they are now, as the spawns for those mobs were already buffed previously. I think the library may likely be inaccurate, at least in terms of reporting the actual count of wolves and the addition of the scrolls which may be considered valuable. And, I also believe the area itself in the future might be planned to be utilised outside farming or training purposes.

    It may not actually be relevant to your suggestion, but I thought I should chime in that there are no werewolves in "Wolf Territory II", only Dark Yeti and Pepe, because it’s just one of those W*zet things; and it's nothing to take surprise at, really.

    People have found solutions to the low spawn rate by cycling through channels. The card drop rate is already higher than other mobs. Adding more spawn would be interesting. Taurospear/Tauromacis spawn should also get looked at if these types of changes are going to be implemented.

    Gatekeeper & Thanatos spawn timers as well I'd hope. Channel surfing to get optimal usage out of them is a chore, and if you have the same bug my BM has with channel changing (takes my BM about 7-8 seconds to swap channels where my others take 1-2 seconds) it's even more of a chore.
