New to Maple Legends, shy about joining a community.

Hi. c: I recently joined Maple Legends a few days ago.
My brother recommended playing the game to me (multiple times) and I've finally picked it up.
When I was 10 or so, I'd watch him play the old Maple Story and wonder why he was so keen on playing every day. But the visuals were cute and I enjoyed watching him despite not knowing what the heck was going on.
Getting into a old school Maple Story is good for me. I can see why everyone loved it back in the day and I regret not getting into it myself. It's a good thing I found Legends because I heard rumors of the actual Maple being a pay to play, etc.
I still don't know what I'm doing though. Locations, enemies, NPCs, PQs, and other things are so unfamiliar to me. I hope to learn the ropes soon.

I choose Legends over Royals, I'm seeing so many good things about this place and choosing to ignore the bad (ddos attacks, I just missed the 20k vote cash give away :C). But I hope to keep playing despite it all.

Also. It's my first time joining a gaming community forum like this. Though my first form of exposure to this community was watching the shoutbox blow up with some drama today while listening to 10 hours of the Mii Channel theme- but there's always room for more impressions.

I still hope to be a positive member of this community.
