Information November 2023 Balance Changes [Explained]

Little to no damage increase if <5int is fine tbh, but the decrease is just bad design imo.
And yet, it doesn't work on mage's ulti or pre 4th jobskills, only on the 4th job single target skills, makes it so very weird and unintuitive.
Maybe if it is across all mage skills would be better, and for straight forward, just this is confusing as hell.

 

ILs are now better at more bosses in the game than Dark Knights, if that means anything. ILs are now the strongest class in the game for Nib and Dunas 1 and top 3 for Nameless and Dunas 2. They'll also be quite decent for Auf and PB.

Depends on your definition of meta but they definitely have a powerful niche in endgame bossing with these changes.

 

"Worth" is a completely subjective non specific and meaningless terminology for an outcome.
The single most "worth" thing you can do with your meso is fund a nightlord.
If you're looking to solve the question of "worth or not" I don't think you're in the right mindset to play a mage as maining the class is all about solving these problems for yourself and niche yourself into pieces of content and squads that can utilize you. Ultimately, maining a mage is still a passion project and you do it for the class first and foremost as almost any other attacker is going to benefit more from spending mesos on even after this buff.

Also "Fuck over new mages" is such a huge exaggeration that idk what to tell you ESPECIALLY since as a low level mage you really only ult farm and train.

Dunas 1 and 2 are still outperformed by FP by quite a margin as they also benefit more from the recent changes from their much higher base skill attack

Love to see mages get attention! Good change in my opinion. I just feel like the ults should be treated the same as the other skills.

For the cwkpq, maybe change the bonus spawn position to the middle of map (bottom) the top right corner could be tricky to loot with 100% move speed.

I spent about 2b on my mage and according to the chart I should be losing damage if I level to 170.

 

Wait, what? You won't lose damage if you just add 5 int per level.

 

What was your DPM before?

 

But the guide said to add + 1 luk every level!!!! Why am I getting punished??

 

TIL: people still add 2 dex 3 luk every level for night lords, 4 int 1 luk for mages

 

this dumb but if i was a magician i will add 3 INT and 2 LUK per level.

 

I will reach 1298 tma by 170 if I put all points to INT ( I don't need any more LUK) and this would put me in the red AFAIK?

 

At what point would someone have a decrease cause having to spend 2b just to avoid a penalty seems really extreme.

 

2b IS pretty unfunded in the grand scheme of things. At that point, if you are maining an attacker, you are probably over that in funding, and many mages whose primary focus is bossing are well over that. It will only really affect those that choose to boss, and at what point is it unfair to others that you can reach high efficiency dpm with minimal funding...

Oh, and your current damage wont go down, but it maybe a little down compared to pre-change. But then again, what situation are you using mage single attack if not bossing...

 

if you want you can show us your stats and we can appraise your gear

 

oh and the counter to that, spending money on you mage doesnt feel as copium now. The ~1.5b upgrade for 32tma->40tma earrings feels a lot better than it previously did. If anything, your mesos now get more bang for your buck

 

To be clear I like this aspect of it I just don't get why there's a penalty aspect to it.
