Unfixable (Quest) Cupid Courier - Warrior : Comes back to the Available tab the next day after completion

    I don't recall if this was a bug or not in GMS, but it doesn't follow the method of every other repeatable quest where it shouldn't show up in the Available tab.

    I saw an older post about the Thief version that was apparently fixed.

    Hi!

    If you look at MapleTip you'll see there's two versions of same quest, and count both as a separate one. Can you please try do it one more time and see if it really re-appear again?

    Also, if you forfeit the quest, it will 100% re-appear in available again, so if you did that, its a known behaviour.

    I've done the quest a 2nd time myself to get rid of it but it still appeared in the Available tab. It's a bit different from the other repeatable quests that way.

    EDIT: On closer observation I realise I can't find the quest in the Completion tab as well (in the Victoria Island section anyway) FoxF6

    I try look into the .wz then when I am off work to see why they act different.

    I've completed the quest and it appears fine in my Complete tab

    Perhaps I need now wait 24 hours to see if it re-appear in available? Though it was also reported it doesn't appear in complete tab.

    I completed it again and Richard was next to Angelique this time. Also, the quest is no longer in my Available tab and is now in my Complete tab. I'm not sure if it will reappear later.

    That's because I did place him there while testing, haha. I will keep this on idle for now than and if it re-appear in available again tomorrow let me know!

    I had done the quest once before, but not twice. I'll also test if it goes away for real after the 2nd completion. Doing mage version.

    So the quest actually went back to the available tab when I got on today. I've completed it 2 times.

    So, here's an explanation why this happens.

    It happens because this is the only questline in the game with 2 repeatable quests in 1.

    When quest A and B is finished, it appears in the complete tab. When only B is available, its still in complete like any repeat quest. HOWEVER, if A and B are available again, it turns back into available for whatever reason.

    So yeah the obvious results: An oversight from Neckson.

    I am thinking of ways to fix this, but currently I can't think of one that will not effect the quests.

    P.S: This is all a visual bug. In the database the quests are still marked as 'complete'.

    Alright, good to know. It's obviously not the biggest issue atm I'm sure lol. No rush on a fix btw.

    Just confirming, it reappeared in available for me too. Maybe the quests can be streamlined into one so we don't have this issue?

    You can't add 2 objectives into 1 quest, that's impossible. That's why we've learnt when quest ranking got added how many quests there are technically :)

    Let's say the objective of Cupid's Courier (from Angelique) is to get the response letter from Richard. The quest Richard has is wiped out. Instead, Richard has NPC scripting which checks for the following:

    • Cupids Courier quest is active and time isn't up.
    • You have the item Angelique asks you to collect.
    • You don't already have a response letter.
    When these conditions aren't met, he just says the normal inconsequential dialogue. With these conditions met, Richard gives you his response letter. This is done outside any questing framework. You take this letter back to Angelique to complete the quest.
