Also, a handy site you can use is HaveIBeenPwned which I use for while to find out if any breach or leak of any site compromised my information, which may be used on other sites. However, make sure to always use a different password to prevent this.

And even if you happened to have matching passwords the hacker would be stopped at the PIN, since that would not be compromised. However, make sure your PIN is storng and not easy guessable.

Grade's video is a good example on what is going on in the biggest Maple server right now. They have over 10 hacked account cases because people use the same password everywhere and one service get compromised. They have so many hacked account cases that their admins personally buy leaked passwords to compare it with their info to see if someone have ''poor security'. We instead have an extra layer of security so even if someone has matched info they can't get in. Furthermore if someone log in they won't be able to see birthday, email, and more which is usually totally open for the hacker on almost every single MapleStory website, which is extremely poor security, and give the hacker access immediately to delete all the people's characters because they can just see the birthday on the site

Furthermore, we will never ever buy leaked passwords to compare it with our information. This is extremely violating the privacy and information of the user that sign up here, and a malicious user can easily hack/compromise users as wish by comparing information.

Oh well. Still no hacked accounts here, still waiting for it.

Recently a server has been breached that many users I know have tried out. Another reminder to NEVER use the same Login ID and Password as other servers because the hacker that breached their server may try use the same information on other servers, including this one.

I am not going name the server that got breached to prevent defamation but if you have matching passwords as other servers please change it immediately here after logging in on main site: Click

 

Monthly bump.

Never use the same account id, password, pin, or email in other servers, even servers you just try out and lurk. They could close at any moment and can do whatever they want with the info, including testing it in other servers and compromise you. If the server has a pin system make sure you do not have a matching pin there as you would here.

 

An earlier than month bump.

2 months daily bump.

As always, stay safe. Do not use the same password or PIN at other servers as Legends. Servers can close at anytime and there's no tell how well they secured your account, or if they will do anything naughty with your info to compromise you.

 

Another reminder to never, EVER use the same Login ID/Password as other Private Servers, especially ones that just came out. Any Private Server can collect your password/data and use it against you in other servers when they close down, or even earlier.

Please use an unique loginID/password when playing MapleLegends, and unique info in general.

 

I could if I really want to (storing plain text for example), but with our current setup I can't see passwords, and there's no reason for me ever be able to. Its also why I never ask for the password for any verification process (like account recovery), since its useless for me.

 

Daily reminder to not use the same info in MapleLegends as ANY other Private Server. There's still a lot of account hacking going on in other servers, and I want to make sure it doesn't happen here.
