What you are asking for is illogical. The FIRE skill from F.P archmages is STRONG against ICE mobs. You are asking for ICE skill from I.L archmages to be STRONG against FIRE mobs. It just wouldn't make sense. If anything the mobs in oblivion should be strong against the I.L arch mage skill...

If not: It makes perfect sense. It couldn't make more sense. Fire attacks strong against ice mobs ≈ Ice attacks strong against fire mobs.

Fire strong against Ice and vice versa is just contradictory.

 

I don't think this is a mistake. Seems pretty clear the devs did this on purpose. They probably designed it this way to equal out f/p vs i/l arch mages.

 

How does it equal them out? Oblivion mobs all give more exp than regrets mobs.

 

This is not designed by the staff. It's from the original Maplestory. The thing is, it doesn't make the equal at all, rather the opposite.

Alright, so f/p can probably blast the shit out of the regrets mobs and 1shot them all at a high level with lv 20 meteor. BUT, they are lower level mobs and give less exp.

The oblivion mobs are higher level, have more HP and give more exp. But they're resistant to fire. F/p mage would have to rely on mist, maybe ice summon, and paralyze to do the most damage they can... but i/l mage can still just spam blizzard. The good thing for them is the mobs will still freeze. If these oblivion mobs took additional damage from ice attack too, that would make make the i/l way more powerful than the f/p.

Well this is interesting then. Because from everything else the staff has done so far, they've wanted to make everything "as GMS-like as possible", even to the point where they refuse to do anything about spammers.

 

Oh my bad, I thought you meant you agreed to giving I.L the damage boost on oblivion maps
