    Hi guys,
    It's me, akqt.

    I've been playing MapleLegends since 2020, started as Magician and
    I've never though I'd ended as Bishop someday (never went that far, f2).

    During all my journey as Bishop, when it comes fighting some bosses.
    It always end spamming Genesis (Yeah, I have to heal/buff my buddies too,
    It's my responsibility as support class, I know. -.-') because It's the only skill
    with the strongest damage at cost of a slow spell casting/huge mana consume (And no cool-down).
    In the other hand, we have Angel Ray, fast on spell casting with minimal mana consume.
    However, this skill seems not decent enough to use as alternative in many situations,
    It feels like we waste SP on it or It isn't even worthy to spent SP on it (What I'd heard from others.),
    because of the speed on casting a 2nd Angel Ray it comes as an equal like we cast one Genesis.

    Plus, we have to deal with the boss's minions which block our single target skill.
    Therefore, everything end on spamming the ulti-skill as result,
    because It doesn't have cool-down and It's effective.

    So I wanted to know if It's possible to increase "Angel Ray" damage to "490"
    while still keeping it as single target skill. Assuming with this, It won't break the game balance.

    Example:
    ========
    - Bishop Lv.: 160
    - Base LUK: 5
    - Maple Warrior Lv.: 20

    - Genesis Lv.: 30 -> Basic attack: 670
    - Angel Ray Lv.: 30 -> Basic attack: 340
    - Suggested Angel Ray Lv.: 30 -> Basic attack: "490"

    Using this formula:
    ===================
    Spell Damage:
    MAX = ((MagicĀ²/1000 + Magic)/30 + INT/200) * Spell Attack
    MIN = ((MagicĀ²/1000 + Magic * Mastery * 0.9)/30 + INT/200) * Spell Attack

    MIN-MAX:
    ========

    Genesis's damage
    ---------------------
    57,403 - 70,820

    Angel Ray's damage
    -----------------------
    29,130 - 35,938

    Suggested Angel Ray's damage
    ---------------------------------
    41,981 - 51,794

    Instead of spamming genesis in any situation, at least this time
    Bishops can use Genesis to bring bosses' minions down,
    then use Angel Ray to deal with the boss on duo, trio or any kind of party.

    Therefore, Angel Ray becomes a decent alternative skill to use
    against single target monsters specially bosses.

    Ah yes, the much needed buff for the weak bishops out there

    FYI: Angel Ray already has a rather high Attack of 340 compared to Chain Lightning at 260 and Paralyze at 290

    I can't think of a single valid reason this would be necessary.

    Overall a good constructive post though

    Isn't angel ray cast time 1/3 of gen? If that's the case, for single target angel ray blows gen in terms of dmg.

    In fact, for holy-weak bosses (lol like literally only samurai) you can white some attacker classes. If mage single-target skills needed any buff, it'd be the range

    As long you nerf the damage on genesis to compansate.

    I'm down if you give AMs a corresponding buff to CL/paralyze. But as of right now, your suggestion would make AR higher damage (around 3.5m-4m single target dpm at 160)

    Angel ray is 810 ms for one attack

    While, genesis is 2700 ms for one attack. So in the span of one genesis you can technically cast 3.33 angel rays.

    Based on your numbers (which I'll assume is correct):
    Genesis's damage
    ---------------------
    57,403 - 70,820

    Angel Ray's damage
    -----------------------
    29,130 - 35,938

    Average Gene damage in a minute = ~1.4 mil DPM
    Average AR damage in a minute = ~2.4 mil DPM
