Burning Chance to Meteor Shower & Fire Arrow

Would it be possible to add a burning chance to Meteor Shower and Fire Arrow similar to Blizzard's and Cold Beam's freeze chance?
The monster's HP would decay while burning and it could die to it, unlike Poison Mist who leaves the monster at 1 HP

 

Doesn't Meteor Shower and Blizzard have the same damage?

 

Just think it'd be nice to see the fire skills from the fire mage with some burn chance, even Fire Arrow would be nice, seeing that F/Ps don't have AoE at 2nd job.

I don't recall the skills of Blaze Wizard, but I do remember they had some AoE skill at 2nd job (I think Neckson intentionally made the Blaze Wizard be an improvement of fire mage because it had the worst skills set of all the three mages, especially 2nd job, after that it's a cool job)

 

If that's why you don't like the suggestion, then you can also balance the damage accordingly to be the same as Blizzard and add this special effect of burning, because Meteor Shower and Genesis are both 'regular' skills with no special effect and ice mages have all their ice skills with freeze chance, so it's fitting that fire mages also have their fire skills with burning chance.

 

Not sure man, I actually didn't play that much MapleStory on later versions, but I'm aware that they did re-work on the skills and improved them by aaa looot, but I don't know exactly what they changed in each skill. But if they did do that, it was a great call on their part!

 

That part in bold is inaccurate then. Don't see what's wrong with adding a burn chance to Fire Arrow or even Meteor Shower. They don't have AoE at 2nd job, unlike the other two mage paths and Meteor Shower damage could be balanced accordingly with Blizzard having this burn chance as a unique effect for fire mages.
