Does anyone still play regular maplestory anymore?

I stopped playing the official servers somewhere around last year or possibly around 2 years back if i recall correctly.
I couldn't keep up with the creeping rate of change, it was too mentally draining to be constantly worrying about the P2W aspects and metas along with my disillusioned view of the way the game was progressing.

 

I haven't in something like a year or two. I just meant to quit maple and put it all behind me, leave it before the good childhood memories are overshadowed by the horrendous thing the game has become. Private servers haven't worked out for me before plus I had assumed they were all high rates so I just didn't bother.

And then one fateful day... I met another Mapler irl. A proud Legender who wasn't afraid to talk about xir old school maple fetish. I was sceptical at first, thought maybe I had outgrown the game and was just going to explore a mark of my childhood. But then I fell in love quickly, and I now have more going in this game than I ever had in the original. Most things, it seems, never cease to entertain me. The only thing that's changed is the way I go about it.

 

Not recently, but i don't mind playing again.

Off and on. Just checking current status and classes. I still find it odd that you can be around Lvl 100 within a day with low amount of effort.
I do like some of the new classes and late game content but the P2W Kills it for me sadly.
Personally I've never tried the reboot server. So I can't judge about that.

Every now and then I pop back on - reboot mostly now, but it's not often I stick around for long.

 

I don't imagine many people here would play current day GMS, but i personally came from Reboot, when it started and moved onto this server.

 

I hop back on about 2 or 3 times each year but now that I've found this server, I have no real reason to go back as this fuels my desire for good ol' classic maple

 

I got on about three years ago, created a Page and got to level 53 in a couple days, deleted it, haven’t been on since. I felt more satisfaction getting to level 15 in two days in 2007 than level 53 in the same amount of time.

 

just switched to here bc of how bad normal servers have gotten recently
i mean it was bad before but now it's worst LOL

 

I played it for a little while a month and got a few link classes to level 2. I stopped because my potato laptop couldn't handle the CPU usage from higher level bossing

 

i paly reboot still alitte. but after the world merging from Broa to Bera. i moved all my chars to Bera with all my friends
