Gonna show my current gear as a little update, not really sure what to upgrade at the moment:

Exceeded picture count, so gonna write these two out:
pendant: silver deputy star +5 all stats +100 hp/mp
glove: 10 att wg

With a nice cash stack of 200m there's a couple things I could upgrade;
Shoes, gun and overall: I could upgrade these to lvl 100 pirate shoes/overall and a concerto, but that requires 100 str to wear which I'm not even close to achieving (currently have 5+20 str). Other upgrades seem redundant as I'd eventually switch to the pirate shoes/overall anyway.
earring: could swap these for 10 dex earrings, not much to be gained though
gloves: could upgrade these to a 12 att wg, but those are very expensive
cape: the dex on this gaia is probably giving me more damage than a 4 attack one would
zakum helmet: this is probably the first thing I wanna upgrade, am trying to buy scar helm service and see if I can 60% dex it

Time for another update!
Also, I went through the thread and placed my posts in spoilers stating what content it contains (sair day 1, sair day 2 etc.) to hopefully make it a bit more organised. Its getting a bit messy with all the different characters and stuff.

Anyhow, I decided to go and buy leech for my corsair. Its currently lvl 114 and I'm planning on buying leech for it up to 120. However, I also discovered I absolutely hate leeching. I already thought I wouldn't be a fan of it, and while the exp per hour is insane, it's just not fun to outsource your characters progress. However, due to the lack of NX and the heavy MP washing my sair will require I didn't really see another option (except for sitting around and waiting for a month or 3 to get NX). Anywho, we'll see how it goes

In the meantime I decided to start making a bucc! Mostly because they require much less MP washing and it is a class I also really enjoy. I'll be aiming for about 230 base int, 30 levels of mp washing to gain (hopefully) 24k hp eventually.
Being in the process of leeching my corsair, I also really want to go and level this bucc on my own. It seems I failed the no leeching challenge on my sair but we can still make it right on the bucc!

Mostly went through maple island, did a bunch of quests around victoria island and am scrambling to make mesos. Oh how I enjoy the struggle of these new, unfunded starts. (I do not mix the funding of these different journal storylines, they must hold their own in the cold, harsh maple world ~).

For those of you wondering, no I do not have a poop fetish. My IRL nickname is actually poop (which, in dutch, is pronounced as the english word pope). So thats where that came from.

Finally I spent a ridiculous amount of time in the Cash Shop looking for a new, smooth outfit for my bucc. After a looooong ass time, I actually ended up just going with the same look I've been sporting for multiple characters now. Mostly because I at some point gave up. Lets pray the summer event has some cool nx to change up my look to something a bit more interesting.

I also bought a 40 att Maple Knuckle for 1.4m, landed a 30% I threw on it then.... boomed it with a 70% :C. So no maple knuckloe for me yet. Oopsers. I kinda go through these love/hate phases with 70s, I tend to try and 70% the first 1-2 slots and it works out rather well usually, until you have something boom and are reminded why the 60s are not so bad after all. LOL.

Going pretty well, enjoying the brawler grind . Also very much planning on never leeching this char because I'm a bit sadge I failed my own challenge on my sair. Now we're going for it!

- grinded at A Night in the Forest, I quite like that map for brawlers. The exp is okay-ish but you get mithril ores and some big cloud fox tails to trade into the exchange. Didn't get anything notable from the 200 ones I turned in so far though.

Going quite well, getting those levels in quite nicely . I finished working today and uni doesn't start for another two weeks, so that means I finally have summer break and hopefully some time to relax, grind on my bucc and enjoy the weather (which has been absolute shit for most of the summer here in the Netherlands so lets pray we get some sunshine finally).

Bought this Maple Storm Finger at 49 attack clean for 8m, then landed 7/7 60% scrolls on it. I believe thats the first time I've ever landed 7/7 60% scrolls. Very sweet. Definitely helps out a lot.
Currently have about 13m, so I put 12m away in the storage to make sure I save it for a zhelm once I hit 50. Next on the gear upgrades list is a dex bathrobe, accuracy mask and maybe a cheap pac with some dex. Mostly just want more dex so I can hopefully hit Cheap Amplifiers/CDs at a relatively early level. Gonna need all the accuracy I can get though, but the exp is so broken I feel its my best option to try and go there as early as I can.

Idk why but I kinda hate grinding at CDs on a brawler. It's just an annoying map to me. Anyway that resulted in me going CDs pretty dang early with some accuracy candy that I bought for 50k ea. I think I was hitting the Greatest Oldies about 70% of the time and the Latest Hits Compilation always, still was better exp than GS2. The pot cost is super high so I'm pretty sure I'm losing money atm, but exp is faster and I cant be arsed to go back to GS2 tbh.

I boomed the 55 att Maple Golden Claw I had, then bought this one (59 att clean) for about 6m and just 60% scrolled it. 5/7 is pretty neat, the accuracy helps out too ~
Kinda unsure what to spend the money I have on, since I want a better overall but might try and go for a scrolled pirate overall. We'll see, i tend to be better at spending it than making it kek.

Decided to grind out the levels till 67 at CDs before the event. Now just gonna wait till after maintenance to continue.

- solo grind at CDs, getting about 150~170% per hour which is pretty sick (or like 2.5~2.8m EPH)


Bought some new gear with the mesos I made from the GFA 30% that sold for 18.5m. Used the rest of my money to buy like 3000 barbarian elixirs which I have already almost burned through. Can definitely confirm that grinding at CDs currently costs me more mesos for pots than I make. Will probably get better as I level up further. Overall its been going pretty well, trying to pace myself a bit more than with the gunslinger I made (which got to 70 in 4 days I believe).

Gonna do some planning during the maintenance of how much base int exactly I'm going to need to get to soonish, and how much MP washing I will be doing. The ideal goal imo is 30k HP by 200 (so, at 150 enough so that the HP gained from leveling 150->200 would end up getting me to 30k), but I'll have to do the calculations. Maybe I'll just end up going for 24k. I guess it also kinda depends on how available/grindable AP resets will be this event.

I tend to get a bit lazy with it sometimes (though not so lazy that its problematic for him) as its something I tend to put off. Luckily he's an absolute doll when it comes to being brushed and cooperates perfectly.

So I was pretty sad. During the maintenance I was going over my HP washing calculations for making a bucc. Turns out I messed up my bucc big time. Simply put: I had forgotten that bucc require fresh AP for HP washing.

My goal for making a bucc was and always has been 24k HP. This might seem like overly much to some people, but if I ever do get to lvl 180+, by that time people will most likely be killing pink bean like he's the new zakum. In that case, not requiring HB to tank a PB touch damage hit seems like a big deal to me. Also, having spoken to high leveled buccs, some of them washed to 19k and expressed how they would have preferred to have 24k HP if they redid their characters.

Now here come's the catch; in order to wash a bucc to 24k HP you need about 12k of extra HP from washing.
Bucc 180 base HP: 9.259
HP from items: 1.700
Total: 10.959
HP to wash: 13.041 (to reach 24.5k)
This requires: 13.041 / 38 = 343 HP washes, or about 70 levels of HP washing using fresh AP.

This basically means in order to reach 24.5k hp at lvl 180 I would have to wash all 5 ap from level 110 onwards all the way up to 180.
Now, in order to get those 343 HP washes I require 343*16 = 5488 extra MP.
Basically, a ton. It turned out that in order to achieve that much MP I require a bit of MP washing. Now, since my character was already lvl 67 with just 145 int, I did the calculations and it simply wasnt possible for me to achieve enough MP to get to 24.5k by 180.
Here I could have just settled for less, but thats generally not the type of person I tend to be (nice way of phrasing im a neurotic perferctionist).
Thus, I remade my bucc. I really did not feel like doing so, funnily enough, but just didn't really see another option. I'm quite over it with remaking characters though. It's exhausting.
I debated to keep my items this time around cause I was just remaking a screwed up character. However, I'm just not a big fan of that. I prefer for a character to have its own 'storyline' starting from poverty and then slowly and painfully acquiring gear/funding.
We now at lvl 41 with 145 int. Gives me much more space to get to my base int goal of 240 and MP wash before reaching 110.

Not the most exciting update, we've all seen it a hundred times by now.
To start off I completed Maple Island with as much base int as possible, while still achieving the 20 dex required to become a pirate at level 10. Then, I became a pirate!


Quickly afterwards I handed in my first gachapon ticket and got lucky!

Now I just had to get to lvl 16 so I could sell that baby in my store.
At this point I decided to scroll a gold surfboard as my weapon of choice. I find it the easiest weapon to do some damage with when having a bunch of base int. See gear upgrades section for more ~

Did the quest guide from lvl 1~32, completing quests around Victoria Island and Ariant. Then, I became a brawler:


After this I continued questing in Ludi, Omega Sector, KFT, Aqua Road, Orbis and Victoria Island (still following the guide) up until about lvl 40. Then I grinded a bit at teddies.
I also did the shoe jump 30% quest in ninja castle and the drumming bunnies quest in omega (gave me OA int 10%).

Overall, the grind is so much slower/worse compared to last time since I have so much more base int. Then again, it'll get better soon. Also making some mesos from event pots is nice .
