Good-bye for now

Hi, my name is Tim, but some of you guys know me as Road. Some other igns people are (not) so familiar with: Raining and Bitter.

So, in light of the upcoming term, I will be taking a break from MapleLegends.

That is not to say that I have "quit" or abandoned this game - I will simply be rather inactive because I'm a big nerd and I want to maintain a high GPA as well as throw myself further into academia - some of you know, some of you don't; I'm on my way to being an English teacher (hopefully) and I've already sent in applications for grad school so school will pick up in the near future, regardless.

On occasion, I will log in; mostly to gach and reset out undesired APs (yes; I washed a Paladin. Get over it :3). Probably for a good few months or so (Idk how long school is gonna be a bitch).

Thus, what I want to say is thank you for my few months here - I started out in the summer, logging on once every while, contemplating joining. I regret not making that decision sooner because I enjoy this community so much.

This is the second private server that I have felt extremely comfortable playing to the point I could consider it home - in fact, I've decided that when I truly quit Legends, I will be done with Maple in general because this is pretty much the ideal server for me.

And what makes this community is everyone involved: the staff, my friends and guilds, and myself - my interactions with the formerly named has given me an experience I love and I will sorely miss (if anyone thought that phrase was familiar, yes; it's an expression, but it's also coined from Harry Potter).

In this order:
Thank you, staff. Each and every one of you strives to do their part and help this server. I have never, NEVER seen any other server like that. And the fact that you all communicate and cooperate is astounding, that you guys seek to interact with the players on both professional and personal levels is heart-warming. Congratulations for accomplishing a feat I didn't think I would ever find. You have made this possible, and I love you for it.
Unfortunately, I don't know most of you by name or reputation, really. The only one I have any hint of is Kim because of a past server we shared, but only by word of mouth rather than direct communication; so, I wanna thank you guys as a group but also mostly thank Kim for recent GM buff sprees (BaboBless you! And get some sleep O.O)

Thank you, Demure Alliance. We are a meme and we are a joke. But better; we are a family. I haven't met most of us, to be frank, but I figure I'll get to knowing you all eventually. Of the people I actually talk to on a daily basis:
Sunny - You got me into this mess. Literally. I just blew up my 11 acc 3 slot white racc and you said I shouldn't quit but just keep playing. Pretty much the next day I started Road and joined Demure. You helped me get my zhelm and my ACB and you gave me RKs and advice and a bunch of things. So thanks for giving me a fam.
Dylan - You're a scrub. But you're also an entertaining one and you're actually nice; like Sunny, you give advice fairly often and even offered me a bunch of help. Thank you for helping with my siggy and memeing with me Good luck on your studies as well and I think you'll surpass the 100 mitten mark soon.
Carl - your priest will probably be like a 17X bishop by the time I actively return cuz holy mother-friggin balls you fast af. Good luck on reaching higher range and levels on your NL; your dedication is pretty damn inspiring. You're also an interesting character - a lot of the times you don't say much, but I think it's just cuz you only say what you need to. Carpe diem, son.
Babo - I address you by ign because #BaboBless. At this point I feel like I'm making copy-pasta, but you've been really good to me and open with conversation. Honestly haven't seen this many people with an open mind and open mouth in so long, but I wish you good luck in your studies too. Thanks for being part of the #getThisBitchHisACB squad.
Reimu - Oddly enough, you're coming up as I'm heading down; you're picking up pace really fast and you actively try to enjoy the community. I wish you luck with this and hope you have fun, fellow F/P lover.
Jess - I actually can't remember if this is your real name or not (assumed it was short for Jesse but something tells me that is NOT your actual name). I've actually rarely shared word with you except small-talk but I think it's good to mention you cuz, like Sunny, you were nice to me before I joined Demure and helped me p/c things and stuff. #BaboBless.
Spyro - thanks for being a bro (fellow Pally) and trying to inspire me to do my best; like you said, I can't wait for 120+ but it will actually have to, because school > Maple nowadays. Damn priorities. Good luck with getting higher levels and enjoying the Pally life!

Lick - omg you have puns; and me, being the English-loving nerd I am, adores that. The inner (and outer) squee-gasm I have from laughing along with your smegas is pretty 10/10. But also, we have had a few really nice conversations about the nature of this game and how we feel about its structure. I hope that your time on Legends goes well.
Slime - Eyyy I remember you from the good ol' days of even pre-Legends. Unfortunately, I barely knew you back then and I'm afraid school will prevent me from logging on too much but I'm glad we talk and enjoy rather unconventional classes and methods of play. I'm actually surprised at your enthusiasm for your main and how much you enjoy that class. Keep sticking to it.
Optic - I think you added me on account of Slime's statement saying his BL should get to know one another - grats on the 160 - and we just discussed rather few things, only making small talk here and there, but I'm down to chill when I return.
DeeKay - hi Tania; I honestly don't know you too well but I'm willing to sit down and have more of a conversation when I can. See you some time soon, eh Mum?
