IS f/p good for bossing?

They are only good in PB body which starts around 40 minutes into the fight, 40 minutes full of mediocrity that will always bring any mage down from whatever godly performance they could have in the body stage. Mage viability in any serious run requires the player to make up for those 40 minutes and this can only be achieved with multiclient, a solo mage won't get accepted in a 20 man, a solo mage isn't good, but a mage player that multiclients a ranged for statues or a bishop or a DRK to make up for their flaws can very well be accepted.

So no f/p is not good in bossing, f/p is only welcome if they multiclient, paralyze or chain lightning are very good body because the bean doesn't resist magic, mana reflection is only good if you invest 6-9m NX into a mage, f/p is better but I/L is also alright in body

 

in fact mages are so good at body that even some of the strongest range players swap to mage when body starts, pre-patch at least. mage popularity just has to do with endgame players having enough mule infrastructure to pull this off and understandably so when it's that good
