    -MapleLegends Staff & Administration-

    Transparency Report:

Like mentioned in the last maintenance we have taken a memory dump to investigate what is taking our server memory quicker than it should be. After looking into it we are happy to report we have found multiple leaks that also made sense to us if you think about it, since for quite a while we have noticed they were more noticeable during events, which matches with the leaks we have found and how they are triggered.

We have potentially addressed them, which hopefully resolves the problem of the server memory filling quicker than it should now, as well as when we have our event and content patch.

The database maintenance is focused on cleaning up the database if time allows us. This hopefully addresses the recent problem where on specific times there's lag spikes in the server (unrelated to the regional issues, which is more out of our control unfortunately).

Yes, we are aware, there's still no content patch nor event. We are sorry its taking as long its did, and I know I can say again "its worth the wait", but we believe there's multiple things right now that should be addressed before an event (or content update) should even happen. This maintenance being one of them, and also the recent problem where our file size of our game is reaching a limit on what the setup base we use allows.

We are already developing something that is mostly working but needs polish, which allows us to use files in a way different method that saves on a lot of space. later versions of the game does this as well, and we are trying port/implement it into v0.62. Once that is done we are positive it will save 40%~ of the total file size of the whole game, because right now v0.62 does not support any kind of method later versions of the game uses, which means there's a lot of duplicated files as well as duplicated image frames all over the game files, which is a complete waste, on top of increasing your in-game memory (more likely to run out of it, thus crashing your client).

This doesn't mean that the actual patch is not coming soon! We are actually near completion of that as well, but because the server is again getting more aggressive because it tries to save memory, we felt like doing this now before the actual patch. We thank you once again for your patience and understanding!

Lastly HP Challenge players should be looking forward to the upcoming content patch as well...
