If that didn't work then my next guess would be to check your router settings and see if there is a firewall log. You can check if it's rejecting packets going to the ML server. Start by googling your router model and how to get into the settings.

It would be helpful to see a Wireshark capture of you logging in. That way I can see exactly what packets are being sent and their TCP flags. I'll post a guide in a bit on how to do it.

 

Here's how to get a capture of the packets using wireshark:
1. Download Wireshark here and install it. It is a free network analyzer used by pretty much any network administrator.
2. Open Wireshark and you should see a section that looks like this:

The lines will slowly grow over time.
3. Double click the one with the most activity. In my case that would be Wi-Fi. You are now capturing packets.
4. At the top, you should see a filter bar. Enter this "ip.addr == 198.0.0.0/8" into the bar without the quotes and press enter. It should look like this now:

5. Try to open MapleLegends
6. When it fails, press the stop button on Wireshark:

7. Click File > Export Specified Packets and this should pop up:

Save it to your desktop to ease of access.
8. Post that .pcapng to this thread OR PM it to me if you're worried about privacy.

Hopefully with enough these captures, I can come up with a solution that works for everyone. My guess is the problem is strict router firewall settings.

When i try to start the game my pc says i got malware in the maplelegend.exe

 

There's no malware if you downloaded from the website downloads page. Add an exception in your anti-virus or windows firewall.

 

I found the easiest solution for this shit, just restart your wifi, then the problem solve I am mapping right now

 

I have 2 ISP: my house's wifi and my neighbour's wifi.
On 19th July, upon halfway playing, my client crashed, and then I am unable to launch the client anymore from one of the wifi, so I got around with it by using another wifi, and it worked.

On 20th July, which is yesterday, I couldn't manage to launch the client from both wifi, and that is also when I tried all those settings i.e turning window firewalls on/off, changing ecncapability etc, and they don't work.

21th July, I tried launching the client with one of the wifi, it don't work. I changed to another wifi, it worked.

Did you guys change anything server-sided?

Hope my information can be beneficial to you guys.

22th July, unable to launch client on both wifi
23th July, able to launch client on one of the wifi.

 

I did what kissMagE did and now i can play fine but my client crashes if im in cs for more than 5 mins.
