why dex on thief gear?

Thieves require some dex to wear higher level weapons. It’s generally recommended to utilise maple weapons and go dexless until about lv 100.

 

It's because those are what you call "INT Lords" meaning they don't train themselves but buy leech for exp. They pump int base stats & wear int equips to generate extra MP which will later be converted to HP (called washing).

 

Correct! In general, the best use of your meso in the earlier stages of the game is to save up for a zhelm at lv 50. It’s the only piece of equipment that’s going to last you for more than a hot minute since levelling is so quick. Other than that, I’d probably go for an 8-10 att glove and a weapon scrolled with 60s to get some extra oomph, though it’s not strictly necessary.

As a bandit, I believe you’ll have to buy what is referred to as AFK service for your zakum helmet, which will approximately cost you somewhere between 16-20m.

Regarding the other equips, you’re best off using an Owl of Minerva from the cash shop to gauge the current market.

 

I think ZHelms are 16-18 mil for "AFK service" - i.e. you die and get resurrected when the loot drops. Sometimes sellers will substitute cash with eyes of fire but they'll say so up front. Also some [generous] guilds will allow their members to get free ZHelms. If you see "Reg service" being offered, that means you have to be able to tank 3.2-3.5k hits and keep yourself alive the whole time, but is cheaper because they don't have to keep up with the extra admin work; but that's mostly for washed characters and mages.
