Shivering's Ulu1/Cornian Meso Journal

I have not done extensive testing into the drop pool but the raw mesos with MU is around 8m from what I've heard and you'd be looking at about 16-20m/hr once you factor in gach, OA int 10%, mithril ores, and equip NPCs.

 

My bad I didn't mean to type 16-20m. I meant to say you can expect around 16m/hr and on some hours where your RNG is really good with OA int drops and the warrior OAs you could see it peak at 20m/hr.

EDIT: Also, I think a common misconception here is that ulu1 is the end all be all best way to utilize 4 mages to make mesos. It's not. There are maps where you can use 4 mages and net more mesos, but (in my opinion) the additional effort to multi-ch farming is not worth the marginal excess gains. The reason ulu1 is the king of every farm map you can think of is because it's all done on 1 map (so only 1 sweeper) and you have safe spots.

Spent about an hour repurposing mules and figuring out pot costs for the new set up that incorporates our 2 new mages. Farenheit has been sent back to the cave to be an HTPQ mule. Good news is we passed blizz 20, blizz 30, meteor 20, and meteor 30 all on the first try although idk how good that actually is since all of these books are dirt cheap.

Entry #18

This entry marks the conclusion of this journal. I think it's served its purpose in terms of providing enough data about a few of the ideal meso farming maps. I was going to carry on with this for about 2-3 weeks with the addition of my new mages and try to do 3ch farming but after testing a variety of different maps for feasibility it just doesn't seem possible with my current set-up.

Anyways thanks for following the journal maybe we'll see a new journal if this ever gets nerfed!

 

There is only 1 prophet and I have arrived.

 

The changes were an attempted nerf across to board to mage farming, but I think this was an overall buff to ulu1. Skele and petri leech sellers are going to be hurting for mesos after this patch and this is just going to make ulu1 an even more viable strategy than it already is when you compare it to selling leech.

 

Inability to loot mesos on sweepers is like a 20% meso income nerf to petri and skele leech sellers. When you sell leech you don’t really have downtime to move your mage around to loot mesos since you are constantly killing mobs. With multi-mage farm it’s the opposite since you have a lot of down-time to move around since you just stand in 1 spot and cast once every 10 seconds.

 

yeah you would no longer sweep on the MU mule. You would only move it to MU. You would use the down time from no longer moving MU to move the mages to loot the map. This is for ulu1. For petris/skeles you’re kinda just out of luck; you can’t loot without upsetting your buyers probably.
