NL vs BM for attacker?

MM is the better choice

 

I would suggest making both.

If you are only willing to make one, I think BM is the superior choice. Almost every squad needs or wants SE, but not every squad needs or wants a NL.

 

Because freeze is op, vou can freeze bosses so therefore you dont need to hp wash

 

NLs use very little in the way of potions because they have shifter (high avoid) and the alchemy skill (attack potions last longer). They only have good DPS late game with SE. They're also expensive to fund and can be difficult to grind with in the early levels because they lack good AoE. Very mobile though because of FJ.

BM/MM are immobile, get hit more, use more potions, but like you've mentioned, everyone wants SE so you'll always have a spot in a party. Plus, they're more independent than NLs — since they can buff themselves with SE they don't need to rely on someone else. Archers also have decent AoE early on to grind with and pretty good single target.

PERSONAL BIAS but if you actually want to play the game through all the levels, archers have a way more interesting kit than assassins. Their bossing is good too!

But if you just wanna do the biggest damage at bosses easily then you want a NL.

 

NL's are nothing without SE
