One of the most controversial changes in today's balance patch is how shaolin mobs became unfreezable. Not only does this render IL disadvantaged over FP, but it also affects other classes that utilize freezing to farm safely.

I think it would be a fair change to remove the freeze immunity, and replace it by making shaolin mobs unfreeze in shorter amount of time so that they can move around before the next blizzard gets casted.

I'm not sure whether it's technologically possible or not, but I thought it'd be a nice middle ground between IL identity + shaolin farming vs. making semi-afk farm less efficient.

Yeah, I agree but the classes worse off are MM/Sairs, who relies heavily on freezes for positioning in 7F for better dpm.

I/L w/o these freezes can still perform decently at 7F, but like you said loses their identity.

Just realise IL's ice strike (3rd job skill) also won't freeze the mob also. LOL. well done....

Rip those days where I use ice strike to train because I want to save potions.....

I did that when I am early 4th job, before blizz30.
It might not be fast, but its definitely very cheap..

I/L mages are already low tier due to the global warming patch and now this. big oof.

In all seriousness, good idea. What's the point of I/L if they cant freeze?

monks irl can actually raise their body temp with meditation so having a shorter freeze duration makes sense.
but hey aren't there mobs that cannot be healed to death? others that are immune to poison?
    train somewhere else lul
