Should low-dex assassins wear luk bathrobes?

Dex is only required on sins's to wield claws, so unless you need it for a claw go for luk for higher damage. Someone can correct me but I think most sins start adding dex around 80-90 to wield cravens, and go dexless using Maple Claws/Skanda's until then

 

At lower levels you'll be using Luk bathrobes to maximize damage output.
At higher levels you'll transition to DEX bathrobes to equip claws; cravens and above.

higher levels it's about total stats (dex+luk) also assuming total dex doesnt exceed weapon reqs

 

I stand corrected.
I was writing in context of switching to DEX bathrobes in OP's higher levels(>level 80) in order to hit the minimum requirement for cravens though as a general advice, I suppose I may be incorrect.

A quick question though! Would starting with a DEX bathrobe be more advisable for new sin players instead of LUK bathrobes?

 

A luk robe is always better for thieves as they are cheaper than dex robes so you can afford more stats plus you get a bit of avoid.

 

In terms of new players who might lack the necessary funds, would a LUK robe still be comparatively better?
As I was thinking in the player's upper mid levels where they'll be upgrading gears, a DEX robe will be significantly cheaper compared to a scrolled helmet/earring to hit req DEX.
Or would the general advice be to skip that and use top/bottoms when funding is available

 

Imo a new player should just go from garnier to maple claw but meba is very good aswell. I don't think you can justify going for dex the first few levels just to go back to full luk once you hit lvl 35 considering getting to lvl 35 is so fast.

 

I think I support the idea of having some cheap dex gear, maybe bathrobe, earring, shoes (can even get green christmas socks right now with 5 dex) to equip lv. 15 claw (titans) until lv. 35, because it's faster than garnier. or you can just add 5 extra dex, but shouldn't be hard to get those. but luk items should be cheaper, so go for them

 

for something like craven, as long as your total dex is below weapon reqs, dex = luk and it's not bad to have high base dex. top/bot usually wins out since even clean the lv80 set comes with 14 stats

oh yeah since dex=luk, 12 luk earring is same as 12 dex and only consideration is price
