So you want to see some witch hunting. I guess that's actually against the ToS, instead of what you're considering "scamming". And lets be honest here. Have you ever thought that maybe you're joining some "scumbag greedy players" contents and you don't even know?

The problem is these "accusations" are often wrong. Can you imagine how many dirty situations can be created when people expose unreal/wrong situations, specially with misunderstandings envolved? Example: I remember when I was starting and got the mapowner of a GS2 map when someone was there few minutes before. The guy started accusing me to the point I wasn't even sure if I was doing something wrong. I went to ask GMs if I did something wrong and they confirmed I was fine. But imagine if this guy was like smegaing I "stole" his map or something.

At this point I already understood you will keep this scarecrow fallacy and I won't even answer these "ooo you're laughing about people losing millions". You really don't know me.

For what it's worth, I do think it would be nice to know whether someone hosting content or selling services is a "scumbag greedy player". That's kind of the point they were trying to make, I think.

yah, i mean, its ok to be greedy, but dont scam new players over it. I agree witch hunting is probably not a good idea, but i think ovv was saying it becuase people kept saying GMs shouldnt intervene. spam trading/requesting to prevent popup does seem to be a clear-cut line though, unlike offering "lowballs"

Isn’t a witch hunt if you have receipts. Same idea of not wanting to associate with scumbag players who skimp or have shady practices. I should be able to talk and meme about them in my private circles without fear of repercussion down the road. And I’m fairly confident that I haven’t scammed people nor am I associated with that kind of behavior. I’d like to think I have a decent gauge of the people I associate with and most of them are for helping grow this community, not cannibalizing it for self-gain.

I find it odd you’re choosing to die on this hill because I know you agree with the above sentiments.

Since things are going in circles now to some extend also personal I close this for now and move it to accepted since I already agreed with the problem appointed - The note being able to be "hidden" with a method is an oversight, which should be addressed/fixed if possible. This either need be done by changing how notes work, or by blocking requests until the person answered the note.

If neither is possible the other idea I may have is have a "balloon" pop up above the person like those tutorial thingies which should be visible at all times regardless. Anyway, moving this to accepted but once again we are overwhelmed with other stuff right now.

If you as a community want to prevent this, you can always whisper people when you see them job advance or getting a rare item and giving them this very advice as well.

This suggestion has been implemented - players will now need to read the Note received after obtaining their first rare item from Gachapon, before being able to receive invites of any kind. The note popup should no longer be blockable.

    Thanks!

Since we've now added something to prevent people from overwriting our informative note about this, any future ways to bypass it, or make the obtainer of such item somehow not been able to see the note before they are supposed to will be seen as bug abuse and a bannable offense.
