Boost party exp.

    Given the recent HUGE upswing in players i offer a grinding solution that would incentivize jolly co-operation.

    Boost exp when in party by a small amount.

    People may be more inclined to share maps and play together as the game intends, saving thier money rather than giving it to filthy money grubbing leech sellers.

    With this added we could be one step closer to a leech free server!

    Thoughts?

    On that thought perhaps this may be why it wont work.

    Perhaps only have it work if you are within so many levels of your party members.

    Thus helping the leech problem.

    F-hecking leech.

    as the game intends? There's a mapletip about how in maplelegendsstory each player makes it's own story

    If people wants to play alone who are you to tell them "play together as intended" smh

    It's already like this, even without holy symbol.

    Solo grinding = 100% exp.

    Party grinding (2) = 80% exp for the attacker, 40% for the leecher. Assuming balanced party with both players killing same monster count = 80% + 40% = 120% exp.

    This is also true for parties above 2.

    Party grinding (6) = 40% exp for the attacker, 20% for each leecher. Again assuming balanced party with everyone killing same amount, thats = 40% + 20%*5 = 140% exp.

    In parties for 2 and above, holy symbol multiplies your exp by 1.5.

    Note that there is also a level penalty term that decreases the amount of exp you leech if your level is below the average level of your party. But if you are around the same level it is very minor.

    White exp = (.2 + .8 x player level / total party levels) x 1.5(If there is HS) + (party size bonus of 10/15/20/25/30%)

    Yellow exp = (.8 x player level / total party levels) x 1.5(If there is HS) + (party size bonus of 10/15/20/25/30%)

    Let's say 2 level 70s kill mobs that give 1000 exp without HS. If you kill a mob you get 600 + 60 exp. If your friend kills a mob he'll get you 400 + 40 exp. If you're killing at the same rate then you'd get 10% more exp overall.

    Now let's put 6 level 70s together, though I doubt any map would be able to keep up with them other than maybe WS. If you kill one of the 1000 exp mobs you'd get 314 + 94 exp. If one of your 5 friends kills a mob then you'd receive 114 + 34 exp. Assuming that everyone kills at the same rate you'd get around 15% more exp than you would solo, but honestly I have no idea how you could have 5 friends and none of them have HS.

    Which numbers should get changed? Honestly duoing seems fine as a lot of maps can fit 2 players. Anymore than a trio and you start running into spawn issues instead to slow you down. A 6man would be fun but it would probably need HS to be good.

    I don't really see smegas for large training parties. Maybe it's best to just find a priest then smega for some friends.

    yeah small partys seem better im almost every situation. but many people dont seem to want any part of it.

    In later version's of the game Lion King's Castle was a place where mobs would be bulkier than usual but reward larger amounts of experience and it resulted in becoming a place for group grinding. It was a great place to grind and it was designed in a way that you really couldn't grind there solo and it was a pretty cool place and moment to be playing tbh. Not sure if similar features could be implemented in certain places or the castle itself be added as content like Neo Tokyo is to provide a different style of grinding option to be available?
    Pointing it out too in case anyone with more creativity than me can use it as inspiration to think of something better?
