Intro & Questions about the server

    Hey all,

    My name is Travis. I had been lurking around private servers and noticed MapleLegends while it was still in beta. Congrats on your official launch!

    I've been around MapleStory on GMS and private servers for many years now, playing many of the most popular ones. Legends looked like it was focused on providing a quality experience, so I'm going to give it a shot.

    This leads me to my main question: how well tested are bosses on this server? I enjoy the end game content (Zakum, Horntail, and so on), but they can be frustrating on private servers due to disconnecting. Are you able to relog into the instance upon disconnecting, or will GMs offer a rewarp into the instance?

    Zakum works fine, it was tested well in both closed and open beta. I don't know about horn tail, that isn't something that we will need to worry about for a loooong time. As far as I know getting your account stuck doesn't happen, there were some serious efforts to stop it completely but I stopped playing open beta before I could see the results.

    I think you might be surprised how quickly people can get to HornTail. ;P But yeah, it definitely won't be for a while.

    Glad to hear it, though. My primary concern (and quickest reason to leave) with any private server is quality of service. It's never fun trying to play a game and dealing with disconnection bugs all over the place (which maple was unfortunately plagued with).

    This server is un-matched when it comes to stability. I have seen/played my fair share of private servers and, believe me when I say, this server is THE most stable server i have come across. :p

    No kidding. And when the day comes that we try Horntail, if there is a problem, there will probably 1. Be a very quick fix 2. A GM online to watch the fight, just like Kimberly did at Zakum during Beta.

    Other than the occassional brief lag here and there while playing the game(which is something every private server has anyways), I have experienced no serious d/c or other performance issues. If you would read the features thread of the server you can also see many things are working and bugs/glitches are very minimal. I dont think I ever encountered a server that is this functional ever. And especially because this is a low rate server, its kind of necessary to get things like quests and PQs to work or people would get easily bored. And they do work, so, all good.

    In conclusion I'd say, start playing first and have fun, and see for yourself how the stability is for you, or anything else you are worried about. We can tell you what we know, but in the end you'll have to get started and figure things out on your own.

    Glad to hear players are vouching for the stability of the server, though. GM's taking support seriously is great too (had some... not as pleasant experiences on other servers). Looking forward to my time here.

    You dont have something against me being who I am I hope? And I dont even use that nickname anymore anywhere, so, whenever I hear people calling me that it just makes me laugh :)

    And yeah man, other than a brief annoying lag here and there, there is(or should be) full stability on the server.

    Whenever I've had stability issues it's been an issue on my end, 100% of the time.
