Feedback Prototype client results

Operating System (32/64 bit): Windows 8.1 - 64 Bit
Graphics card (ex: NVIDIA): Nvidea 840M in a laptop
What did you boss (Zakum,Horntail, Cake): Horntail run entirely
Do you GFX normally?: At least 3 times
Did you GFX now (this should be no for the test client)?: NONE (I also streamed to strain the system)
Do you Crash normally if you don't GFX? (or even if you do GFX): Yes, if I don't GFX at all I crash
Did you crash now?: NOPE
Other observations (noticeable changes): It acted and worked like the other client would. However, it seems slightly more affected by large numbers of people. During the Cake event of around 17:00 pm server time on 15-04-2017 I had more lag then I would with the other client.

Do you GFX normally?: I recently came back to the server and dc'ed at Cake every single time I entered the map
Did you GFX now (this should be no for the test client)?: I did NOT change graphics settings with the test client
Do you Crash normally if you don't GFX? (or even if you do GFX): Don't know yet. I can only vouch for Cake and here I do d/c yes
Did you crash now?: Nope. I did my first run here around 9:50pm gmt+2 ish and I had no issues. Will do more Cake events and test the stability
Other observations (noticeable changes): Like Sam said, I had more lag at Cake. Everything else (so far) runs as well as with the old client

Do you GFX normally?: none on Intel, every 10min on ATI, since if I skip it on ATI sometimes monster starts to disappear and DC a bit later.
Did you GFX now (this should be no for the test client)?: Nope.
Do you Crash normally if you don't GFX? (or even if you do GFX): there was chance (but not so high, like, 10%?) of DC after monster disappear on ATI laptop if I didn't GFX.
Did you crash now?: at least, not now. gonna test moreover in future.
Other observations (noticeable changes): apparently ram usage of maplestory client is reduced.

Other observations (noticeable changes): everything was super smooth when i didnt press any keys but when i did i had a screen freeze for the duration i pressed it (full screen)

 

Have now done 3 runs and there's no issues. Works very well

Other observations (noticeable changes): sign to DC soon (mob flickering) didn't happen also, this is amazing

Other observations (noticeable changes): I need to run it from its folder or I get the following error: "We were unable to locate a MapleLegends data file on your computer. Please download the latest files from MapleLegends.com"

 

I only crashed twice during that one day. The next HT I ran, no dcs.

 

did 3hr 30min stress test on HT with new client on laptop which was issue with gfx, worked perfectly w/o any gfxing.

Other observations (noticeable changes): The run was going smoothly without any lag whatsoever. I wasn't an attacker on the run, Demure let me join one of theirs for observation, but even when I was supposed to hug the wall, I did try doing skills and moving around so it would some what give me the attacker experience in a Zakum Run. Even though the run was going very smoothly with no frames dropping or any lag at all, I did all of a sudden crash in mid 1st body. I'm not sure what was the real reason behind it to be honest, if it was a random dc or something else, because the graphics had no problem at all. Will try to get in more runs to see if it happens in every time or was it just a one time thing.

Do you Crash normally if you don't GFX? (or even if you do GFX): Yes either crash or lag badly that I miss the 100/150 hit count
Did you crash now?: Nope
Other observations (noticeable changes): There was still a lag when there were a lot of people in the map making it somewhat the same as before. On my last Cake run however it was very smooth. No lag or frames dropping at all. Might have been due to the lesser amount of people in the map than before but can easily tell Cake is no issue with this client.

EDIT: Not sure if needed but due to some people saying they won't attend the FITNESS Event because of the risk of dc'ing, with this client the event that Kim hosted went as smooth as it can get! Just my JQ skills sucked if that's relevant ....

 

Did this only occur in full screen mode (i.e. Not windowed mode)? If so this probably isn't to do with the new client, so it'd be great to verify.

Do you Crash normally if you don't GFX? (or even if you do GFX): yes, GFX doesn't always solve the DC issue
Did you crash now?: absolutely no, ran 3 clients at max res at cake and none lagged/dced
Other observations (noticeable changes): Entering/leaving portals are at least twice as fast. No more new item screen freezes (when an item my client hasn't seen before drops, I usually freeze for a second). Basically it's fuckin amazing make it happen pls

Do you GFX normally?:No, cus GFX made my client go full screen mode, which made it crash during cake.

Did you crash now?: No, I did 3 runs and didn't dc 3 times.
Other observations (noticeable changes): I disconnected a couple of times when clicking my character in character screen. I am not sure if this is related to the test client tho.

 

I got more feedback. I guess there's nothing you can do about it, but the client never frees memory, causing me to eventually exhaust my RAM at Zakum. It happened a while after we got to the last body. I'll try to use more virtual RAM the next run.
