Add Item Transmutation to MapleLegends

This feature exists in future versions of the game (post chaos iirc) and is called Fusion Anvil.

Don't think it's possible in v62?? Though it would be nice to have it.

 

One idea I've heard is to create a cash equivalent for every existing normal equip, that way you'd be able to wear your favorite vanilla aesthetics while still having good stats. To me that SEEMS possible (from what I've seen of private servers). Sounds like a lot of work of course, but imagine the potential...

I think making them Cash Shop covers would be the easier option - but then only the items requested... I don't think the Tech staff wants to go through every equip in the game and make a Cash Shop cover for them.

to further expand on why, vanilla gears look amazing. I love having my warrior look like a warrior with plate mail and cool swords (ST look ugly, like your mom)

I love seeing my mage in big magical mage robes.

Also dark pilfer / silver identity poggers.

 

I would personally love to see this, there are so few cool looking cash shop equivilents for shields.
This would go a quite a ways to helping remedy that problem.

Id love if this item was available, I really like the look of many maple items, infact I often go the sub optimal route of adding secondary stats just to wear them!

 

Here's a fully fleshed out idea:

Cost: 5,000 NX
Equipment Transmute Scroll
Type: Use item

Effect:
One-time use. Combines with non-NX equip of the same type (Equipment is destroyed in the process).
Generates an NX equip of the same look, level requirement, weapon type, and class restrictions.

A few reasons why I like this idea:

1. You can buy the transmute and save it for later without choosing your equip yet. Less buyer's remorse.
2. Maintains level restrictions to certain looks. No level 10's using reverse weapons. This keeps the look cool.
3. Weapon type. Keeps weapons to what they should look, feel, and act like.
4. Need I say more? IF you want to use a staff over a spear, or a dagger over a 1H sword, use current NX items.

IMO.

 

I dont like the idea of the item being destroyed, but I agree with only wearing class items. (Although might see some weird stuff like warriors with daggers or anyone with the lv 8 wand)

 

Just having a cs item to make it a skin seems a rather round about way to do it, What do you think about petitioning the mods for just one or two items a patch?

Could put it to vote and get the community involved with the process a lil more.

Plus it would allow for a slow test of it to see if any weird interactions come up, given you have a set record of what items went in each patch.

 

IMO I think it would be very easy to "outsource" this...
Find some interested/motivated players, have them do the dataentry/formatting "grunt" work, then submit it and have someone on the staff review and implement it.
This way staff could spend their (limited amount) of time reviewing essentially finished work, and nothing would have to be be accepted/submitted that wasn't right.

 

We are not outsourcing this because this would require giving out sensitive information.

I would like to argue FOR having different class equips transmutation.

Here's my reasoning: I want to be Gandalf! Sword and Shield + Mage Robes and Hat.
