    just go with the bonus hp % you can get only when you enter this boss, this way you don't have to touch any of the other current mechanics in the game

    since this server's already been out for 2 years the optimal solutions don't exist, go with one that has minimal impact instead

    Oh don't worry. Warriors are tanking far far better then the ranged classes. They can easily handle 4 to 5 hits of Horntail before even needing to bother to pot at Horntail. The Boss even is at strongest a 3 to 4 hit. However, we are discussing for ranged classes to be a 1 hit kill. Thus "attack" and dead immediately. And able to survive 1 hit to get a chance to pot.

    A lot of people are also underestimating the power of warriors with Speed Infusion. Cause that combination of DPM and buff actually puts warriors easily stronger then corsairs and BM.

    oh and you could also say that about arch mage or fire mage which are completely useless on all end game bosses even though they can survive a hit
    every class and his pros/cons

    Those characters have the choice to fight the bosses, they just suck at doing damage.

    "Future end game for maplelegends" makes me laugh for a couple of reasons:
    1. Barely anyone can HT as of now, maybe < 5% of the player base.(roughly 2 years from launch)
    2. That neo damage is off the scale, tune it down so more than just warriors can do it.

    Personally I would gather the data from legends database and make a graph to see where people quit along the way, like how many people actually make it to 130+ and keep going. Gather some analytics of the average player base. Game Design like this should be thought of at the start of the server, "Where will the server go and the steps along the way" should've been brought up at the start so people knew "Hey pink bean is coming one day, i need to wash to (x) amount of hp" ESPECIALLY with a 2x server..

    Change: 13.5k magic damage
    To: 9k magic damage (ht tail hits around 7.8k?)


    EDIT: Honestly you guys should be thinking of CPQ or something for levels <120, with the amount of newer players. All this work for Neo PQ and only like 10 people are going to be able to even do it.

    Yes, not everyone is able to HT right now, but this content is no where close near release all I can say. Once again, this post is to inform you that we, the Staff, would like to release this content someday. This is a heads up to those who do wish to remain for the end game and possibly re-plan some things.

    I personally like the idea of looking up data of players above 130 that are active and also their HPs taken into consideration.

    How can you even say that to people 18x+ already?... its too late man... People aren't going to throw away a character they've been playing since launch just to Neo PQ..

    Would you consider boosting the HP of every character to a certain degree based on the amount of AP they have put into HP?

    That is, multiply the hpApUsed value of every existing character in the database by a certain number and they would gain HP based on the HP gain range.

    Assuming the Legends database tracks the hpApUsed value.

    We are open for alternative solutions, hp equips but a reduction in damage is one solution, buffing hp scrolls, hp rings etc... Theres quite a few, also the sacrifice of dpm to survive is not always a bad thing. These bosses dont even cross a total of 800mil hp where as HT is 2.1b or something (not sure of numbers) around that.

    I can understand the frustration most high levels are having but we hope to find a solution that pleases the majority.

    From what i said earlier might be a good approach with reason behind it:

    Change: 13.5k magic damage
    To: (x) magic damage
    - Select all the characters in database where level is greater than 169
    - Calculate the average maxhp of these individuals.(example: 6.4k)
    - 6400 + 3840
    - Average player above 169 has roughly 10,240 hp with hb.
    - Neo magic damage = 10k, would allow the average 170+ to do neo pq with hb and minimal repercussions

    You're not meant to tank everything.
    Given theres a way to dodge the damage then there shouldnt be a problem, as long as you're diligent enough to react rather than AFK and hold down one key.

    Such as examples of CWKPQ, Pink Bean, RGS
    CWKPQ
    - there's an effect called zombify from the Mage boss
    - It makes your character "undead" making all heals damage instead of heal you
    - Bishops who don't pay attention can easily kill their whole party
    - Shows a skull ontop of your head

    Pink Bean
    - Damage reflect buff
    - Reflect's all damage you do to it, pretty much meaning you'll instantly die if you hit it at whatever HP
    - Has an animation/sound prior to the buff

    RGS
    - Touches 18k
    - magic damage 7.8k
    - Released pre BB, so most normal people only washed to a certain degree
    - usually done in a large party where people would lure it to the other side, and the bottom plat is used for buffing.
    - especially easy for bowmen with puppet



    So as long as the boss intended for release has a way of 100% of dodging the 1 shot damage,
    And there is enough time if done right to dodge the damage, I see no reason to change the damage/give more HP.

    I suggest we make the rings give enough HP to let an un-HP washed lvl 170+ assassin survive 1 hit.

    Exactly how much HP that is, I don't know.
