Yo sup. AznBubbleGum here! Heres some items you might want to get when starting MapleLegends. You can owl all of these items as well if you don't feel like purchasing them from their original shops. Completely optional of course!
Finally, don't be afraid to ask around, lots of beginner/pro players are willing to help people out, there's no wall in between the players. This guide wouldn't be as good as it is without the help of the players that replied to this thread and gave great suggestions.

In New Leaf City, walk to the right and talk to "Miki" to purchase the items.

Talk to "Cokebear Administrator" in Kerning City.

Talk to "Polar Bear Nell" to purchase the "Coke Zero Pill".

All Cure Potion (Recover from any abnormal state.)

Cider (Weapon Attack + 20, -5 Accuracy for 5 minutes.)

You can obtain this from completing the quest "The Fallen Woods" (Level 40 and above) which unlocks the merchant "Mo".

How to obtain:
Talk to Taggrin in "Phantom Forest: Dead Man's Gorge" and accept the quest "The Fallen Woods".

Walk a bit to the right and press the up arrow key on the frog scroll.



Talk to "Ishirasu" to purchase the "Cider".

How to obtain:
Go to the Top of Ludibrium
and go inside this Potion Shop.



Talk to "Misky" to purchase the "Sniper Pill".

Fruit Milk (Returns you to Showa Town.)

Strawberry Milk (Returns you to Mushroom Shrine.)

How to obtain:
Talk to "Hikari" in Showa Town and
choose "I wish to go to the bathhouse."



Talk to "Momoyo" to purchase the items.
Remember, the bathrobes that appear for male and female depend
on if you entered the bathhouse as a male or female.

Pet Food (Recovers 30 Fullness)

How to obtain:
Go to Henesys Market
and talk to "Doofus" to purchase the "Pet Food".

 

Of course man! I'm probably going to end up listing the important potions as well as the beginner ones too, and I wish I can tell at what number of HP/MP they should use the potions at, but I'm not an expert at that :/ I would insert it here if I knew.

It was thanks to "RegalStar". Showed me this method of obtaining the all cure potions instead of just Alcaster's shop and also Precel linked me a guide that Alcaster's shop is still useful because it has other items such as "The Magic Rock" and "The Summoning Rock".
