I am currently after recommendations for new animes/aeries to watch, movies too!

Sekai no monshou (aka crest of the stars) Unbelievably underrated.
Katanagatari (Shorter than the monogatari series and is less ruined by english subs)
Kaguya sama ha kokurasetai (aka Kaguya Sama:Love is war) <- this one has a second seasion airing right now and it's super popular
Kaiba (if you're a galaxy brain)
Angel's egg (if you're a giga galaxy brain, or stoned)

It would help if you can also talk about what kind of anime you've enjoyed so far.

Production quality wise, anything from Kyoto Animations is a solid recommendation.
    - Violet Evergarden (as listed above)
    - Sound! Euphorium
    - Amagi Brilliant Park
    - Hyouka
    - A Silent Voice / Koe no Katachi (movie)

For visual creativity, Shaft's has very unique cinematography
    - Bakemonogatari (is the very first of the monogatari series)
    - 3 Gatsu no Lion

Movie wise, if you're talking about production quality and visual stunning-ness, Makoto Shinkai's stuff is always a must mention
    - Kimi no Nawa
    - Weathering with You
    - 5 cm per second
    - Garden of Words

Ooof, its kinda sad that nobody was mentioned Decadence so far. It's a really good anime but unfortunately I can't get into it because of spoilers. Just give it a 3-episodes rule then decide.

Another one would be Steins;Gate. I think you should definitely give it more than 3-day rule as the beginning is very slow but soon enough everything will click and it'll be worth it.

Excuse me if I misunderstood your comment but you're supposed to watch "Steins; Gate" first, the "Steins Gate; 0" is actually a spinoff/sequel of the original series (hard to describe without spoiling) but this may be why you are confused?

I watched both actually, watched steins gate before steins gate 0.

    Spoiler alert
Is the anime using multiple world theory? What happened when world line changed, does the other world line still exist?
When okabe tries to save mayushii in steins gate, does all the other mayushii in other world line remains dead?

Trigun is hands down my favorite anime of all time. It's a 90s anime about humans living on a different planet and trying to adjust. Its mostly comedy with some action and a tiny bit of drama.

My favorite was Assassination Classroom because I went into it as a silly funny anime that wasn't serious and I left crying for 30 minutes.
